Georgia’s Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili declared that reform of state-owned enterprises’ privatization will continue in accordance with the strategy of the government. Corporatization of state-owned enterprises should be carried out, and “this should happen in accordance with the capital market reform, i.e. their shares must be traded on the stock exchange”, he pointed.

ACCORDING TO “GEORGIAN RAILWAY”, THE RAILWAY HAS RECORD SHOWINGS IN FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION

Georgian Railway reported freight traffic of 6 million t for 6 months of this year, which volume has increased by 500,000 t, if compared with the same period of 2020. The growth of 10% in freight traffic is a record figure for the last 11 years, indicated Georgian Railway.

“TERRACE GROUP” BUILDS RECREATION COMPLEX IN BAKURIANI WITH INVESTMENT OF 7M LARI

Development company Terrace Group is building a recreation complex in alpine resort Bakuriani with investment of 7 million lari, the magazine reports. The project, which should be accomplished by 2022, consists of apartments, a 5-star hotel and a recreational area of 4,800 square m.
