CIVIL ORGANIZATIONS: LEGISLATIVE AMENDMENTS MEAN WITHDRAWAL OF “PUBLIC BROADCASTER” FROM BROAD SPHERE OF PUBLIC LEGISLATION

Several non-governmental organizations declared that the Parliament-initiated draft bill, which amends law “On Broadcasting”, “means withdrawal of activity of Public Broadcaster from broad sphere of regulation by public legislation”.

The amendments will lead to “deterioration of accountability standard of Broadcaster, weakening of guarantees of accessibility of information, stored in Broadcaster, and of transparent implementation of the state procurements”, the organizations pointed.
