“TI GEORGIA”: RATIO OF PUBLIC DEBT TO GDP EXCEEDS ITS TARGET INDICATOR
Ratio of Georgia’s public debt to GDP already exceeds the target indicator of 40%, envisaged by strategy of socio-economic development of Georgia (“Georgia 2020”), and estimated indicator for 2019, provided by the debt management strategy of the Finance Ministry (41.4%), said TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International. The government has to have clear strategy and political will, how to secure achievement and maintenance of target indicator of the debt, the organization declared.
