AGRICULTURE MINISTER: IN RECENT YEARS, GEORGIA’S PRODUCTION OF PERENNIAL CROPS INCREASED BY 33%
“In recent years, production of perennial crops in Georgia has increased by 33% and made up 600,000 t”, declared Otar Shamugia, Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. Since launch of the state program “Sow the Future” (2015), the state has funded cultivation of new perennial crops on 17,000 ha, the Minister reported, while speaking in the Georgian Parliament today.
