GEORGIAN REVENUE SERVICE: BIG PART OF IMPORT FROM CZECH REPUBLIC WAS INTENDED FOR BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN PIPELINE AND COMPANIES “ENERGOPRO GEORGIA” AND “EP GEORGIA GENERATION”

In a statement, released today, Georgian Revenue Service indicated that big part of increased showings of Georgia’s commodity import from the Czech Republic is composed of equipment, brought to the country by companies servicing the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, as well as goods, intended for EnergoPro Georgia and EP Georgia Generation (both companies are established with Czech participation).

The Service said that import includes also “mobile phones, computers and other items of primary use, imported by other companies and intended for domestic consumption, rather than for re-export to other countries”.
