ECONOMICS MINISTRY: GEORGIA IS ELECTED IN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF IOPC
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that the country is elected in executive committee of International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPC). Georgia joined IOPC in 2001.
FINANCE MINISTRY: DELEGATES OF 27 COUNTRIES PARTICIPATE IN INTERNATIONAL FORUM IN GEORGIA WITHIN PEMPAL PROGRAM
Georgian Finance Ministry reported that about 75 delegates from 27 countries of Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe participate in international forum, held in Georgia within Public Expenditure Management Peer Assisted Learning network (PEMPAL, founded by the World Bank (WB)).
The forum, which will last until November 2, is dedicated to issues of introduction of internal audit.
TASTING OF GEORGIAN WINE HELD IN JAPAN
Georgian National Wine Agency reported about tasting of Georgian wine, which held in Japanese city of Matsuyama.
The tasting, which scoped 7 names of wine, was attended by up to 60 Japanese importers, distributors and representatives of restaurant networks, the Agency said.
NBG: SINCE 2019, ROUNDING METHOD WILL REPLACE PAYMENT ACCURATE WITHIN 1 TETRI
Since January 1, 2019, rounding method will replace payment in cash accurate within 1 tetri, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared.
Whereas, clearing settlements will continue use of accuracy within 1 tetri, excluding need of change in price for particular products and services, NBG pointed.
REGULATING COMMISSION: SO-CALLED “TRANSPARENCY REGULATION” WAS ADDED TO RULES OF ELECTRIC NETWORK
So-called “transparency regulation” was added to rules of electric network, which concerns obligation on data availability and publication on electricity market, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission reported. Respective decision was made at the meeting of the Commission, which took place a couple of days ago.
ECONOMY MINISTRY: WITHIN THE PROGRAM OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY, ENERGY MONITORING CONDUCTED IN 65 PUBLIC BUILDINGS, WHILE IN 50 ONES – ENERGY AUDIT
Within the Danish neighborhood program on support of energy efficiency and sustainable power industry in Georgia, energy monitoring was conducted in 65 public buildings, while in 50 ones – energy audit, Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported.
Besides, 40 experts passed practical training course for energy auditors.
TBILISI CITY HALL: THE BILL IS DRAFTED, WHICH TOUGHENS SANCTIONS FOR AIR POLLUTION
With support of the Parliament, the bill is drafted, which toughens sanctions for air pollution, Tbilisi City Hall reported.
At the capital government meeting today, it was noted that the corresponding legislative package will be submitted to the Parliament in near future.
