    TODAY IN THE GEORGIAN TERRITORIAL WATERS STARTED THE MUTUAL GEORGIAN-TURKISH TRAININGS OF THE NAVAL FORCES

    The day before to the Batumi Port for participating in the trainings, which will be conducted during 2 days in the aquatorium near the Batumi and Poti Ports, arrived 2 Turkish military ships. As was informed in the Georgian Defense Ministry, these are the first similar naval trainings.


    THE DEPARTMENT ON FIGHTING WITH TERRORISM OF THE GEORGIAN STATE SECURITY MINISTRY AWAITS THE FUNDAMENTAL REORGANIZATION

    At the sitting of the Georgian State Security Ministry’s collegium was discussed the question on personal responsibility of the Ministry’s staff due to the attempt on the country’s President’s life on February 9 of the current year.     Commenting the proven at the Moscow summit document on the Abkhazian conflict regulation, the Chairman of the Supreme Counsel of the Abkhazian autonomous Republic Tamaz Nadareishvili stated at the yesterday’s press conference, that, although this document can play a definite role in the conflict country-participants reaproachment, but will not contribute to the final conflict regulation and to return of the refugees. Tamaz Nadareishvili mentioned his negative attitude to every kind of the negotiations with the separatists.

    THE JAPANESE INTEND TO PICK OUT INVESTMENTS FOR THE TRACECA PROJECT

The Japanese side showed its interest in the carrying capacity of the Georgian railroads, with all kinds of goods and services for realizing the TRACECA project, by its profitability.

    THE GEORGIAN STATE MINISTER RECEIVED THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE SWISS AIR

    At the conducted today conversation the topic was the cooperation of the two countries in the air communication sphere. It was mentioned with the satisfaction, that already is signed the agreement, according to which the Georgian and Swiss Air Companies agreed about the regular flight (once a week) in the direction Tbilisi-Zurich-Tbilisi, which will be realized by the planes of the Swiss Air Company.
