    TODAY IN SUKHUMI WAS HELD THE SITTING OF THE GEORGIAN-ABKHAZIAN COORDINATION COUNCIL

    Abkhazian side was for the first time presented by the Prime Minister of the separatist government Sergei Bagapsh. Due to this, he refused to make a report for the press, making reference, that he needs time to get used to the new role, and separatistForeign Minister Sergei Shamba, from his side, positively evaluated the process of the peace settlement.


    ABKHAZIAN SEPARATISTS PLAN TO COMPLETE ACCOMMODATION OF THE BORDER WITH THE REST OF GEORGIA IN OCTOBER

    AGRICULTURE MINISTRY FINDS THAT TRANSGENETIC POTATOES DO NOT HARM THE POPULATION

    About this stated at the today’s press conference the Head of the Agriculture Department Simon Uzunashvili commenting the claim of Greenpeace against the use of the transgenetic potatoes by the Georgian farmers, which were not informed about the potential risk. The Head of the Department emphasized that Ministry has the reports of the Georgian Agriculture and Science Academies and of the Parliament’s Agrarian Committee which positively evaluated this kind of potatoes.

    According to the operative data from the Food and Agriculture Ministry, there were gathered and sent to the conversion 38,182 t of the green tea-leaf.     IN CURING AND BUYING GEORGIAN WALNUTS WERE INTERESTED FRANCE, TURKEY AND GERMANY
