GEORGIA AND UKRAINE AGREED ON TRAVELS WITH ID CARDS
Travels between Georgia and Ukraine will be possible without passports, but with ID cards only, Georgian government reported.
As the government noted, respective agreement was signed today in Chisinau (Moldova) by Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Groysman.

In its report, the organization identified 40 such officials.
IN Q2, RATIO OF HOUSEHOLDS’ DEBT TO THEIR DISPOSABLE INCOME INCREASED Y-O-Y BY 5.5 PERCENTAGE POINTS
National Bank of Georgia reported that ratio of households’ debt to their disposable income in the 2nd quarter made up 54.6%.
To compare, the ratio in the 1st quarter made up 52.3% (i.e. quarter-on-quarter growth made up 2.3 percentage points (pp), while in the 2nd quarter of last year – 49.1% (i.e. year-on-year growth made up 5.5 pp).
IN Q3, REFINANCING CREDITS INCREASED BY 1.4% Q-O-Q, WHILE DECREASED BY 1.7% Y-O-Y
National Bank of Georgia reported that in the 3rd quarter, 13 refinancing credits (7-day) were issued, totaling to 12.86 billion lari.
If compared with the 2nd quarter of this year (12.68 billion lari), the volume has increased by 1.4%.
IN Q3, DEMAND FOR DEPOSIT CERTIFICATES 2.8 TIMES EXCEEDED EMISSION
National Bank of Georgia reported that in the 3rd quarter, demand for deposit certificates (discount security with maturity of 3 months) 2.8 times exceeded emission.
In particular, total demand for the reporting period amounted to 168 million lari, while total emission (3 auctions) – to 60 million lari.
USAID ESTIMATES BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT IN GEORGIA AT 0.55 OUT OF 1
On October 4, USAID published the research “Journey to Self-Reliance”, which estimates capacities and commitments of beneficiary countries by 17 criteria (on a scale from 0 to 1).
In respect of economic policy, Georgia’s business environment is estimated at 0.55 points, trade freedom – 0.99 points.
THE GOVERNMENT: CENTRAL ROLE IN BUDGET-2019, AS WELL AS IN BUDGETS OF THE PREVIOUS 2 YEARS, HAS THE PROGRAM OF INFRASTRUCTURE ACCELERATION
In the budget-2019, as well as in budgets of the previous 2 years, the central role is played by the program of acceleration of infrastructure, indicates analytical notice, enclosed with the draft of Georgia’s budget-2019 (primary version is already submitted to the Parliament).
As the notice specifies, this program means implementation of large infrastructure projects that is connected with a set of uncontrollable factors.
ADB ALLOCATES 255.3M EUR FOR CONSTRUCTION OF KHEVI-UBISA SECTION OF EAST-WEST HIGHWAY
Asian Development Bank (ADB) allocates preferential loan of 255.3 million EUR for construction of Khevi-Ubisa section of East-West Highway (E60). Respective agreement was signed in Tbilisi today.
