    RETAIL MORTGAGE LOANS, ISSUED IN LARI, INCREASED AS OF SEPTEMBER 30 BY 52.4% Y-O-Y, WHILE ONES IN FOREIGN CURRENCY – BY 25.6%

    National Bank of Georgia reported that mortgage credits, issued to private individuals in national currency, amounted as of September 30 to 2.7 billion lari. The volume has increased by 5% quarter-on-quarter and by 52.4% year-on-year.


    CORPORATE MORTGAGE LOANS, ISSUED IN LARI, INCREASED AS OF SEPTEMBER 30 BY 32.7% Y-O-Y, WHILE ONES IN FOREIGN CURRENCY – BY 16.3%

    National Bank of Georgia reported that mortgage credits, issued to legal entities in national currency, amounted as of September 30 to 1.53 billion lari. The volume has increased by 12.2% quarter-on-quarter and by 32.7% year-on-year.


    NBG: REPRESENTATIVES OF BANKING SECTOR EXPECT CONSIDERABLE TOUGHENING OF NON-INTEREST TERMS OF RETAIL CREDITING

    In the 3rd quarter, non-interest terms of retail crediting were considerably toughened in the country, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported.

    Referring to survey of credit conditions, NBG pointed that representatives of Georgian banking sector expect considerable toughening of non-interest conditions in next quarter too, specifies.


    NBG: IN NEXT QUARTER, BANKS EXPECT SLIGHT INCREASE OF INTEREST RATES ON CREDITS, ISSUED IN NATIONAL CURRENCY WITH FIXED RATE

    Referring to survey of credit conditions, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that representatives of Georgian banking sector expect in the next quarter a slight increase of interest rates on credits, issued in national currency with fixed rate. NBG noted that banks connect this increase with growth of expenses on deposits in lari.


    THE GOVERNMENT: UNICEF WELCOMES 5-TIME INCREASE OF ASSISTANCE TO SOCIALLY UNPROTECTED CHILDREN BELOW 16 YEARS

    UNICEF welcomes decision of Georgian government to increase 5 times of assistance to socially unprotected children, aged up to 16 years.

    According to Georgian government, that was declared by deputy executive director of UNICEF Shanelle Hall at the meeting with Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, held in Shanghai today.


    “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” AGENCY AND “BANK OF CHINA” SIGNED COOPERATION MEMORANDUM

    Produce in Georgia Agency of Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development signed memorandum on cooperation with Bank of China.

    As Georgian government reported, the document was signed on November 4, within visit to China of Georgian delegation, headed by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.

    WITH ASSISTANCE OF CHINESE SIDE, JACKETS-PRODUCING ENTERPRISE TO BE BUILT IN GEORGIA

    Georgian government declared that enterprise for production of jackets will be opened in the country, which production will be both sold on local market and exported abroad.

    As the government said, respective agreement was signed within Georgian delegation’s visit to China between Georgian Partnership Fund and the company, operating in China’s province of Jiangxi.
