    THE PARLIAMENT TO CONSIDER LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE ON PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP AT THE NEXT PLENARY MEETING

    The Parliament’s Committee on Branch Economy and Economic Policy considered today in first hearing the draft bill “On Public-Private Partnership”.

    The committee supported the corresponding legislative package, which will be considered at the next plenary meeting, the Parliament said.


    THE PREMIER: BY 2025, GEORGIAN GDP’S 7-8% WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL BUDGETS

    “A wide range of competencies and resources will be transferred from the national to local authorities by 2025”, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili declared. As the Premier said, “This substantial reform will equip local self-governments with powers, skills and resources necessary for resolving local economic and social issues”.


    “TI GEORGIA”: IN 2012-2017, SALARIES OF EMPLOYEES OF PUBLIC DEPARTMENTS’ PRESS SERVICES SHARPLY GREW

    TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International, declared that after Georgian Dream’s victory on the parliamentary elections of 2012, salaries of employees of public departments’ press services sharply grew.

    During 5 years (since the mentioned victory and through October 2017), remuneration of these employees has exceeded in total 55.4 million lari, of which over 49.75 million lari were paid in 2013-2017, the organization specified.

    STATE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AGENCY: IN 2018, REGISTRATION OF NON-AGRICULTURAL LAND PLOTS, REVEALED WITHIN THE INVENTORY PROJECT, WILL BE FINISHED

    National Agency of State Property declared that registration of non-agricultural land plots, revealed in course of inventory project’s implementation, will be finished in this year. Besides, registration of 30% of revealed farmlands is planned.


    STATE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AGENCY: 22 ENTERPRISES REMOVED FROM THE LIST DURING 2017

    National Agency of State Property reported that 22 enterprises were removed

    during 2017 from the list of enterprises, established with state participation. At the same time, 10 enterprises were added to this list, the Agency noted.


    EASTERN PARTNERSHIP COUNTRIES CONSIDER ISSUES OF ROAD SAFETY

    Today, the first meeting of regional working group of the countries of Eastern Partnership took place, at which issues of road safety were considered. As Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported, meetings of the group will continue until March 7.


    STATE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AGENCY: IN ANAKLIA, 413 LAND PLOTS WERE BOUGHT-OUT IN 2017

    National Agency of State Property reported that 413 land plots were bought-out in Anaklia (Samegrelo region) in 2017 within the action plan for resettlement.

    Resettlement is conducted for the project of deep-water port construction in Anaklia.

    “BADAGONI” SUSPENDED OPERATION OF ITS HEAD OFFICE

    We made the decision to shut down temporarily activity at our Tbilisi head office, and “we switch over to crisis management mode”, director of Badagoni (winemaking company) Giorgi Salakaia declared to journalists today. “We are moving to Kakheti, in order to do our best for fulfillment of undertaken obligations”, he noted.
