RULE APPROVED FOR COMPENSATION FROM ALLOCATIONS, ENVISAGED FOR EXTERNAL DEBT PAYMENT, FOR GOODS AND SERVICE, PROVIDED BY GEORGIAN LEGAL ENTITIES TO CREDITOR COUNTRIES

The government approved rule of compensation from allocations, envisaged for foreign debt payment, for delivery of goods and/or rendering of services to creditor countries by legal entities of Georgia.

As respective resolution of the government points, “Purpose of this rule is cut of expenditure on external debt’s servicing and payment, stimulation of national production and assistance to activity of those entities, which directly or by means of the third parties deliver production to creditor countries”.




ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION MINISTRY: LAUNCH OF REGULATIONS ON PLASTIC BAGS’ USAGE IS PLANNED DURING 2018

Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection reported that the Parliament has started consideration of a package of legislative amendments, which sets regulations in order to reduce usage of plastic bags in the country. Entering of respective draft bill in force is envisaged during 2018, the Ministry said.




“STATE ELECTROSYSTEM” FINISHED RECONSTRUCTION OF 220-KV TRANSMISSION LINES

Georgian State Electrosystem declared about completion of the project on reconstruction of 220-kV transmission lines, located along the 500-kV line Imereti.

As Electrosystem explained, the project resulted in new power chain’s creation between substations Kutaisi-220 and Zestaponi-500, which in case of shutdown of Imereti, will provide reservation of 80-90% of its capacity.

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared about start of realization of collectible silver coin, dedicated to Georgian vine. The coins, totaling in number to 1,500, were made by Japan Mint.

UAE company Green Valley Development started construction of Twin Tower hotel complex in Black Sea resort Kvariati, Ajara government reported. Construction should be completed in summer of 2021.

VTB Bank Georgia declared about approval of its final prospectus by president of National Bank of Georgia (on July 4).

By this prospectus, the bank will conduct public offering of 17.72 million ordinary shares with nominal value of 1 lari.




“GEOCELL” GOT PERMISSION FOR NUMERATION RESOURCE

National Communication Commission reported that LLC Geocell (mobile operator) got permission on usage of numeration resource (20 subscriber numbers, 90050-90069).

By means of these numbers, the company will provide free non-telecom service (text/multimedia messages).




WITHIN THE STATE PROGRAM, HONEY-PRODUCING COOPERATIVE ENTERPRISE TO BE CREATED

Agriculture Ministry declared that within the state program on support to honey-producing agricultural cooperatives, the first cooperative enterprise will be created. The government approved the mentioned program at the yesterday’s meeting.
