    ASLAN ABASHIDZE THINKS THAT THERE WAS NO GENOCIDE OF THE GEORGIAN POPULATION IN ABKHAZIA

    This is the announcement made by the Chairman of the Autonomic Republic of Ajara by the Ajarian TV on September 6. In his words, the national minorities can not be accused of the genocide of the national majorities (before starting of the conflict there were about 90,000 Abkhazians and 400,000 Georgians in Abkhazia).


    ABASHIDZE PLANNING TO VISIT TBILISI BEFORE PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

    According to the leader of the Autonomic Republic of Ajara Aslan Abashidze he is going to participate in the session of the Revival Union of Georgia. It is assumed to be held in Tbilisi, before the Parliamentary elections, scheduled for October 31.


    FRANCE READY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE REINFORCEMENT OF PEACE AND STABILITY IN GEORGIA

    This is the announcement made by the envoy of the Foreign Minister of France Michel Fuchet during his meeting with the Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze on September 6. The guest handed the French President’s letter to the President of Georgia.


    THE INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION CONFERENCE HELD IN TBILISI

    The conference was organized by the Justice Ministry of Georgia and the German Association of the Technical Cooperation (GTZ). It was held on September 6-7.


    SHEVARDNADZE EXPRESSED HIS CONDOLENCES TO ARDZINBA

    The President of Georgia Edward Shevardnadze sent the telegram expressing his condolences to the President of the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba on the demise of his mother.

    According tot he information delivered from Batumi, the representatives of the leadership of the Ajara’s Autonomic Republic left for Sukhumi to attend the funeral.

    HYDROSTATIC INVESTIGATION OF THE KHASHURI-BATUMI OIL PIPE-LINE WILL BE HELD AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER

    The works will be carried out by the company Geo Engineering, established at the Technical University of Georgia. The company signed the deal with the company Chevron Overseas on September 6.


    THE VACCINATION OF THE CATTLE AGAINST ANTHRAX WAS NOT HELD BECAUSE OF THE ABSENCE OF MEANS THIS YEAR
