National Bank of Georgia reported that retail deposits (including ones of sole proprietors), placed in Georgian banks in foreign currency, totaled as of October 1 to equivalent of 10.85 billion lari. The volume has increased by 6.6% quarter-on-quarter and by 18.7% year-on-year.

National Bank of Georgia reported that deposits, placed by legal entities in Georgian banks in foreign currency, totaled as of October 1 to equivalent of 6.22 billion lari. The volume has increased by 4.7% quarter-on-quarter and by 17.4% year-on-year.
AS OF OCTOBER 1, LEGAL ENTITIES’ DEPOSITS, PLACED IN NATIONAL CURRENCY, INCREASED BY 5.6% Y-O-Y
National Bank of Georgia reported that deposits, placed by legal entities in Georgian banks in national currency, totaled as of October 1 to 5.9 billion lari. The volume has decreased by 3.6% quarter-on-quarter, but increased by 5.6% year-on-year.
GEORGIAN FINANCE MINISTRY: IN THE NEXT 2 YEARS, GERMANY WILL ALLOCATE 161.7M EUR TO GEORGIA
Georgian Finance Ministry declared that in the next 2 years, German government will spend 161.7 million EUR for financing of priority spheres in Georgia. Out of total, 21.7 million EUR will be allocated as grant.
SITE FOR PROCESSING ENTERPRISE COULD BE HANDED OVER TO HOLDERS OF MINING LICENSE WITHOUT AUCTION
Georgian Parliament considers draft amendments to the law “On State Property”, which allow handover of the site to holder of mining license directly, without holding of auction. This option is envisaged for construction of processing enterprise.
GEORGIAN ECONOMY MINISTER: CHINESE ASSOCIATION OF ELECTRONICS AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IS READY TO ESTABLISH AT LEAST 5 NEW ENTERPRISES IN GEORGIA
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that within her visit to China, the Minister Natia Turnava met with representatives of Chinese association of electronics and mechanical engineering.
As the Minister declared, Chinese party at the meeting expressed “readiness to establish, at least, 5 new enterprises on Georgian soil”.
ECONOMY MINISTER: DESPITE SIGNIFICANT GROWTH IN TOURIST FLOWS FROM CHINA, POTENTIAL IS STILL VERY BIG
“Today, we have quite growing flow of tourists from China, however being expressed in figures, this indicator is quite modest, in comparison with the existing potential”, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declared.
During her visit to Shanghai, Turnava met with representatives of Chinese online travel agency Ctrip and discussed future cooperation with them, Georgian Ministry reported.
TOURISM ADMINISTRATION: IN THE TRAVEL LIST OF “WTM LONDON 2019”, GEORGIA IS ON THE 1ST PLACE
At the World Travel Market 2019, which was held on November 5-6 in London, Georgia was named among 30 new destinations, which tourists should visit in 2020, Georgian National Tourism Administration reported. In the list of these destinations, Georgia is on the 1st place, the Administration noted.
