    THE GROUP OF FRIENDS OF GEORGIA URGES OSCE TO AGREE ON OPENING OF CROSS-DIMENSIONAL MISSION IN GEORGIA

    In the statement, released on behalf of Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, the UK and the US, the Group of Friends of Georgia urges OSCE member countries to agree on opening of the cross-dimensional mission in Georgia, including on monitoring along the occupation line. The group expresses regrets in connection with closing of the OSCE Mission in Georgia in 2009.


    INVENTORY OF REAL ESTATE ON OCCUPIED TERRITORIES OF GEORGIA TO BE CONDUCTED

    Georgian government approved the state program of declaring and inventory of real estate, located on occupied territories of Georgia. Respective resolution of the government has entered in force upon publication (on August 8).

    NBG: IN Q1, RATIO OF INVESTMENTS TO GDP INCREASED BY 1 PERCENTAGE POINT Y-O-Y, OF SAVINGS – BY 0.9 PERCENTAGE POINTS

    In the 1st quarter, ratio of investments to Georgia’s GDP made up 32.9%, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) specified in its recent monetary policy report. The report indicates that comparing with the same period of 2017, the ratio increased by 1 percentage point.


    NBG: IN Q2, LARI RATE AGAINST THE US DOLLAR STRENGHTEHNED BY 1.6% Q-O-Q

    Nominal exchange rate of lari agsinst the US dollar has strenghthened in the 2nd quarter by 1.6% quarter-on-quarter, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported. The rate, set for June 30, made up 2.4516 GEL/USD.


    DELIVERY OF 90 NEW BUSES TO TBILISI TO BE HELD STEP BY STEP

    Tbilisi City Hall declared that winner of the tender, announced on procurement of new buses, became Georgian company Tegeta Truck&Bus. The contract worth 45 million lari was signed with the company a few days ago, the City Hall noted.

    IN 6 MONTHS, INCOME OF BROADCASTERS INCREASED BY 3.2% Y-O-Y

    National Communication Commission reported that in 6 months of this year, income of Georgian broadcaster companies totaled to 67.44 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2017, the volume has increased by 3.2%.


    POLISH “PFI FUTURE” IS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST INFRASTRUCTURE IN GEORGIA

    Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry’s Agency Produce in Georgia declared that Polish company PFI Future is interested in development of multifunctional tourist infrastructure in Tbilisi and Batumi. The Agency hosted meeting with representatives of this company recently.


    SPANISH “DIBAG” PLANS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT TOGETHER WITH GEORGIAN PARTNERSHIP FUND

    Today, Georgian Partnership Fund hosted a meeting with delegation of Spanish company Dibag (production of forage). As the Fund said, Dibag plans implementation of the project together with the Fund.
