IN Q2, TURNOVER OF ENTERPRISES INCREASED ONLY IN 3 REGIONS

Sakstat reported that in total turnover of Georgian enterprises for the 2^nd quarter (22.3 billion lari), share of Tbilisi made up 76.8%, or 17.1 billion lari. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has reduced by 10.2%.




IN Q2, OUTPUT DECREASED IN ALL REGIONS, EXCEPT SHIDA KARTLI AND SAMEGRELO – ZEMO SVANETI

Sakstat reported that in total output of Georgian enterprises for the 2^nd quarter (9.17 billion lari), share of Tbilisi made up 62.5%, or 5.7 billion lari. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has reduced by 21.6%.




IN Q2, DOMESTIC SUPPLY OF OIL-PRODUCTS REDUCED BY 25% Y-O-Y

Sakstat reported that Georgia’s domestic supply of oil and oil-products totaled in the 2^nd quarter to 269,500 t. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has reduced by 25%.




IN Q2, COAL PRODUCTION IN GEORGIA INCREASED 196 TIMES Y-O-Y

Sakstat reported that Georgia’s coal production totaled in the 2^nd quarter to 19,600 t. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has increased 196 times.




IN Q2, FDI VOLUME IN GEORGIA INCREASED BY 0.5% Y-O-Y

Sakstat released estimation, according to which volume of foreign direct investments (FDI), made in Georgia in the 2^nd quarter, totaled to $237.8 million. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has increased by 0.5%, Georgian statistics service pointed.




FOREIGN CONSULTANTS VISIT GEORGIA’S INVESTMENT LOCATIONS

Investment locations consultants from Germany, the US and the Baltic States arrived to Georgia for the first time, Georgian State Agency Produce in Georgia reported. The visit (on September 7-10) is organized by the Agency with assistance of USAID.




AJARA GOVERNMENT: ANOTHER 39 FAMILIES OF ECOMIGRANTS WILL RECEIVE APARTMENTS IN SOCIAL HOUSE

Ajara government reported about completion of social house in the village of Kapreshumi of Khelvachauri municipality, where 39 families of ecomigrants (i.e. those resettled from natural disaster areas) will receive apartments.

According to the autonomy’s government, project cost makes up 2.98 million lari.

COMPETITION ON DEVELOPMENT OF MASTER PLAN OF TSKALTUBO RESORT IS ANNOUNCED AFRESH

Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared about start, together with Tskaltubo municipality of Imereti region, of working out of town-planning documentation for development of spa resort of Tskaltubo.

As the Ministry noted, competition for that end is being held in two steps.

Cartu Insurance reported net profit of 721,470 lari for the first half of the year. According to the report of this Georgian insurance company, the volume has decreased by 1.6% year-on-year.
