IMPORT OF WHEAT FROM KAZAKHSTAN TO GEORGIA IS CONSIDERED
Today, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava met the leadership of Kazakhstan’s state-run Food Contract Corporation. As Georgian Ministry reported, the parties considered issue of deliveries of wheat from Kazakhstan to Georgia.
POSSIBILITY OF GROWTH OF EXPORT TO KAZAKHSTAN OF GEORGIAN VEGETABLES AND FRUITS IS CONSIDERED
Today, Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili met the leadership of Kazakhstan’s state-run Food Contract Corporation. As Georgian Ministry reported, the parties paid attention to deepening of trade relations, including possibility of growth of export of Georgian fruits and vegetables to Kazakhstan.
IN JANUARY-JUNE, PASSENGER TRAFFIC AT GEORGIAN AIRPORTS INCREASED BY 18.24% Y-O-Y
Georgian Civil Aviation Agency reported that 2.49 million passengers were transported in January-June by means of regular and charter flights via Georgian airports. If compared with the same period of 2018, the showing has increased by 18.24%, the Agency said.

Georgian National Mining Agency reported that 329 mining licenses were issued in the country in the 2nd quarter. According to the Agency, attracted investments totaled to 65.4 million lari.
AS OF MARCH 31, RATIO OF ASSETS OF INSURANCE COMPANIES TO GDP MAKES UP 1.7%
National Bank of Georgia reported that as of March 31, ratio of total assets of Georgian insurance companies to GDP of the country makes up 1.7%. The indicator was not changed quarter-on-quarter, while increased by 0.1 percentage points year-on-year.
IN 6 MONTHS, REGULATING COMMISSION WROTE OFF 626,763 LARI FROM CITIZENS
Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission reported that 626,763 lari was written off in total in favor of private individuals in 6 months of the year. The Commission said that during the reporting period, 54 public meetings were held and 1,312 questions were considered.

“ATLASGLOBAL” TO RESUME FLIGHTS TO TBILISI
Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal will resume flights to Tbilisi since July 16, Georgian Civil Aviation Agency reported. The airline has stopped flights in last April.

Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Imedi-L as of March 31, medical insurance accounted for 89.1%. In this segment, the company attracted 41 million lari, increasing the volume by 74.9% year-on-year.
IN Q1, MEDICAL INSURANCE ACCOUNTED FOR 62.3% IN PORTFOLIO OF “GPIH”
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by GPIH as of March 31, medical insurance accounted for 62.3%. In this segment, the company attracted 17.58 million lari, decreasing the volume by 42% year-on-year.
IN Q1, PROPERTY AND LAND TRANSPORT INSURANCE ACCOUNTED FOR 53% IN PORTFOLIO OF “ALDAGI”
Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Aldagi as of March 31, property insurance accounted for 28.8%. In this segment, the company attracted 4.79 million lari, increasing the volume by 15.5% year-on-year.
