As their joint report, European External Action Service and European Commission pointed that Georgia’s obligations, undertaken under the Association Agreement, were overall “implemented in line with agreed timelines”. The report assesses Georgia’s implementation of the Association Agenda since the meeting of the EU-Georgia Association Council of December 2016.

DWV-ORGANIZED BUSINESS FORUM DISCUSSED INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES OF INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS’ IMPLEMENTATION IN GEORGIA
Today, business forum, organized by Economic Association of Germany (DWV), was held in Tbilisi, which participants discussed investment opportunities of infrastructure projects’ implementation in Georgia. Participants included representatives of Georgian authorities and companies, operating on the local market and created with German participation (HeidelbergCement, Commerzbank, etc.).
DEPUTY ENERGY MINISTER: INTRODUCTION OF NEW MODEL OF ELECTRICITY MARKET IS PLANNED SINCE 2019
Deputy Energy Minister Giorgi Chikovani declared that introduction of new model of electricity market is planned in test mode for January 2019. Full-scale introduction will be conducted until 2020, he said.
IN Q3, VOLUME OF PROPERTY APPROPRIATED BY FINANCIAL SECTOR INCREASED BY 16%
National Bank of Georgia reported that volume of property, put by borrowers in guaranty of loans and appropriated because of fail to pay loans, amounted by the end of September to 195.9 million lari. If compared with end of June (i.e. quarter-on-quarter), the volume has increased by 16%.
IN 9 MONTHS, CREDITS OF 239.7M LARI WERE WRITTEN OFF
National Bank of Georgia reported that in January-September, banks have wrote-off credits of 239.7 million lari. Out of total, credits of 91.1 million lari were written off in the 1st quarter, 71.0 million lari – in the 2nd quarter, while 76.7 million lari – in the 3rd quarter.
IN 9 MONTHS, 68 ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERT CONCLUSIONS WERE ISSUED
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection reported that in 9 months, 68 environmental expert conclusions were issued. Out of total, 17 conclusions were environmental impact permissions.
AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: THIS YEAR, PRIVATE SECTOR PURCHASED 97.5% OF TOTAL SOLD GRAPES
Agriculture Ministry reported that private sector has purchased 97.5% of total grapes, sold during rtveli (vintage) this year. State enterprise Akura has purchased the remained 2.5%, against of 30-50% in past years, the Ministry stressed.

GEORGIAN AGENCY FOR INNOVATIONS AND TECHNOLOGIES TO COOPERATE WITH MIT
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that its Agency for Innovations and Technologies has signed memorandum of cooperation with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, the US). Under the memorandum, 3-week Global Teaching Lab project will be launched in January 2018, the Ministry said.
