GEORGIAN PREMIER’S ENVOY IN RELATIONS WITH RUSSIA: TERMS OF SIGNING OF CONTRACT ON CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION WILL BE DETERMINED TOGETHER WITH THE SWISS PARTY

Zurab Abashidze, special representative of Georgian Prime Minister in issues of relations with Russia, summed up at the briefing today results of the meetings, held in Brussels and Prague.

In particular, Abashidze said that in Prague, agreement was reached with the Russian that terms of signing of contract with Swiss company regarding customs administration will be determined together with the Swiss that its enforcement to begin in near future.

NATIONAL WINE AGENCY: IN JANUARY-JUNE, WINE EXPORT INCREASED BY 51% Y-O-Y

National Wine Agency reported that 31.5 million bottles of wine (0.75 l) were exported in January-June to 44 countries (against of 38 countries as of results of 3 months), exceeding thus by 59% an indicator of the same period of 2016.

In monetary expression, wine export for the reporting period amounted to $70.5 million, increasing by 51% year-on-year.

NET PROFIT OF “GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION” IN 2016 INCREASED 2.5 TIMES

JSC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation reported net profit of 78 million lari for 2016. As the company specified, the profit has increased 2.5 times in comparison with 2015.

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by PSP Insurance as of March 31, medical (health) insurance accounted for 80.5%. In this segment, the company attracted 20.66 million lari, increasing the volume by 1.1% year-on-year.




IN PORTFOLIO OF “ALDAGI”, LAND TRANSPORT INSURANCE ACCOUNTS FOR 41.6%

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Aldagi as of March 31, insurance of land transport (except railway) accounted for 41.5%. In this segment, the company attracted 8.3 million lari, increasing the volume by 64.3% year-on-year.




IN PORTFOLIO OF “IMEDI-L”, MEDICAL INSURANCE ACCOUNTS FOR 95.1%

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that in total premium, attracted by Imedi-L as of March 31, medical (health) insurance accounted for 95.1%. In this segment, the company attracted 18.09 million lari, increasing the volume by 37.9% year-on-year.




“NELKARISI” WINERY OF “MEGOBREBIS MARANI” OPENED IN KVARELI

Yesterday, Megobrebis Marani (Wine Cellar of Friends) opened winery Nelkarisi in Kvareli (region Kakheti), which unites winery, wine cellar, shop and restaurant.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who attended the opening ceremony, has declared that “investments of over $4 million are made in all this; $600,000 makes up “preferential agrocredit” and 75 people are employed”.
