    FACING THE SUMMIT: THE PRESIDENT OF GEORGIA SENT A LETTER TO BORIS YELTSIN AND HAD A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH HEIDAR ALIYEV

    In his letter to the Russian president, Eduard Shevardnadze worded his views of CIS as an alliance and its development prospects, said Vakhtang Abashidze, the President’s press-secretary.
