GEORGIAN PREMIER DISCUSSED IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EU ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT WITH SPECIAL ENVOYS OF EASTERN PARTNERSHIP
Today, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met special envoys of the EU Eastern Partnership, who pay visit to Tbilisi. As administration of Georgian government said, main subjects of consideration were Eastern Partnership summit, scheduled for November 24 in Brussels, and progress, made by Georgia, on the way of European integration.
CIVIL ORGANIZATIONS: ROOT PROBLEM OF JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS CLAN RULING
Non-governmental organizations declare that “currently, root problem of judicial system is clan ruling, which is supported by the authorities”. They point at Vano Zardiashvili, deputy chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Legal Issues, naming him as the contact person from the ruling force for communication with influential groups within judicial system.

Oil-Products Importers Union declared that import of motor oil for 6 months amounted to 6,800 t. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has decreased by 1.5%, the Union pointed.

PROGRAM ON VINEYARDS’ CADASTER STARTED IN AKHMETA
Agriculture Ministry declared that program on vineyards’ cadaster is started in Akhmeta municipality (Kakheti region). The Ministry noted that the mentioned program is implemented by National Wine Agency since 2014, when it was conducted in Racha-Lechkhumi region, while was implemented in municipalities of Telavi and Kvareli (Kakheti region) in 2015-2016.

JUSTICE MINISTRY TO SELECT INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM FOR LITIGATION WITH “INTERRAO”
According to the government’s order, the Justice Ministry has to ensure “coordination of actions of Georgian state in course of arbitration trial and/or at reconciling negotiations within litigation” with InterRAO (Russian owner of Georgian energy assets, including Tbilisi energy distributor TELASI). To remind, InterRAO demands compensation of loss, incurred by fluctuations of lari exchange rate.

Wissol Petroleum Georgia has added to its chain of filling stations the 1st charging station for electric cars. Owners of electric cars will be able to charge their cars for free on the 13th km of Agmashenebeli Lane in Tbilisi, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection said.

Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that LLC Greenville will launch production of butter, vegetable fats and margarine with assistance of the Ministry’s Agency Produce in Georgia. The enterprise should start operation in October and will employ 20 people at the first stage, the Ministry noted.
