“TI GEORGIA”: RATIO OF PUBLIC DEBT TO GDP EXCEEDS ITS TARGET INDICATOR
Ratio of Georgia’s public debt to GDP already exceeds the target indicator of 40%, envisaged by strategy of socio-economic development of Georgia (“Georgia 2020”), and estimated indicator for 2019, provided by the debt management strategy of the Finance Ministry (41.4%), said TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International.
The government has to have clear strategy and political will, how to secure achievement and maintenance of target indicator of the debt, the organization declared.
“TI GEORGIA”: PLAN OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS IS FULFILLED BY 96%
According to the plan for 6 months, Georgian state budget of this year allocated 447 million lari for investment projects, Georgian branch of Transparency International (TI Georgia) reports with reference to the Finance Ministry. At that, actual spending was by 17 million lari less, i.e. the plan is fulfilled by 96%, the organization specified.
“TI GEORGIA”: FORECASTING OF PROGRAMS OF THE MINISTRY OF IDPS FROM OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, LABOR, HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL PROTECTION REMAINS A PROBLEM
TI Georgia, Georgian branch of Transparency International, indicates that programs and subprograms of Georgian Ministry of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection are distinguished with both under-fulfillment and over-fulfillment of the plan.
That indicates persisting problem with reliable forecasting of expenses of certain programs, the organization points.
MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND AGRICULTURE: THE STATE HAS MOBILIZED ALL RESOURCES – WINEGROWERS WILL HAVE NO UNSOLD GRAPES
Levan Davitashvili, Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, indicated that events, occurred in the country in June (complication of relations with Russia), have changed expectations of winemaking companies. However, “the state has mobilized all resources – winegrowers will have no unsold grapes”, he assured.
REGULATING COMMISSION: THERE IS NO REVISION OF CONSUMER TARIFFS FOR ELECTRICITY, WHILE IN GAS SPHERE PLANNED PROCESS OF TARIFF DEFINITION IS UNDERWAY
Process of revision of consumer tariffs for electric power is not carried out at this stage at all, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission declared. These tariffs are established for the period until December 31, 2020, the Commission pointed.

GEORGIAN SIDE OFFERS DUTCH “DAMEN” TO BUILD SHIPBUILDING ENTERPRISE IN THE COUNTRY
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that Georgian side prepared the investment offer specifically for Damen, offering this Dutch company to build shipbuilding enterprise and develop corresponding infrastructure in Georgia. One of the priorities is also creation of services for sea vessels’ repair, the Ministry noted.
