    PRIME MINISTER: DIALOGUE HAS NO ALTERNATIVE

    Everybody, both the ruling force and opposition, everybody have to realize well that the mandate of Georgian population was “first of all, to look after the country jointly, and dialogue, certainly, has no alternative”, Georgia’s Premier Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared at the government meeting today. The population “directly ordered that we found a fast way out of this political situation”, he pointed and stressed: “This is responsibility of each political force”.

    FINANCE MINISTER: BUDGET-2021 WILL BE BASED ON ECONOMIC GROWTH FORECAST OF 4.3%

    Georgia’s Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani declared that the country’s state budget for 2021 will be based on economic growth forecast of 4.3%. Some time ago, we assumed growth of 5%, but have lowered the forecast because of aggravated background of COVID-19 pandemic both in Georgia and in the world, he said after the government meeting today.


    FINANCE MINISTER: WE INCLINE RATHER TO REFINANCING OF EUROBONDS

    Georgia’s Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani indicated that the country has to cover in 2021 Eurobonds of $500 million.

    “Proceeding from the existing situation, when because of the pandemic uncertainty still takes place in the world economy, we incline rather to refinancing”, the Minister said today.


    CREDIT-AND-GUARANTEE SCHEME OF “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” STATE PROGRAM TO EXTEND ON FARMERS AND EVENT COMPANIES

    Georgian government decided to extend credit-and-guarantee scheme of the “Produce in Georgia” state program on farmers, engaged in cultivation of perennial crops. While reporting this, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava specified that the matter concerns grapes, citruses, etc.

    IN 2019, PROFIT OF ELECTRICITY SYSTEM COMMERCIAL OPERATOR INCREASED 11 TIMES

    JSC Electricity System Commercial Operator reported net profit of 543,458 lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian state-owned company, engaged in buy/sell of balance energy and guarantied power, import/export of electricity, the volume has increased 11 times year-on-year.


    IN Q3, ADVERTISING INCOME OF TV COMPANIES INCREASED BY 24% Y-O-Y

    Georgian National Communication Commission reported that advertising income of Georgian TV broadcasters totaled in the 3rd quarter to 15.9 million lari. If compared with the same period of last year, the volume has increased by 24%.


    “HEIDELBERGCEMENT GEORGIA” FINISHED 2019 WITH PROFIT

    LLC HeidelbergCement Georgia reported net profit of 25.8 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian cement producer company, it had loss of 2.5 million lari in 2018.


    IN 2019, PROFIT OF “ANAGI” INCREASED BY 6.9%

    LLC Anagi reported net profit of 32.9 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian construction company, the volume has increased by 6.9% year-on-year.
