FINANCE MINISTRY DISCUSSED COURSE OF EFF IMPLEMENTATION WITH THE IMF MISSION
Georgia’s Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani held on February 11 a concluding meeting with the IMF mission, led by Mercedes Vera Martin.
As the Finance Ministry said, the parties discussed course of implementation of the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) in the eve of visit of the IMF evaluating mission in April.

Today, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava met in Tbilisi with Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan.
The meeting scoped consideration of bilateral cooperation in the power sphere, Georgian Ministry reported, noting that Armenia receives Russian energy carriers via Georgia.

The meeting scoped discussion of business environment in Georgia, as well as cooperation in investments’ attraction to spheres of transport and tourism, Georgian Ministry reported.

Today, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava met in Tbilisi with Andreas Schaal, director of Global Relations Secretariat of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
As Georgian Ministry reported, the meeting scoped discussion of cooperation in support of small and medium enterprises (SME).
ADB ALLOCATES 13.6M EUR FOR PREPARATION ACTIVITIES ON INVESTMENT PROGRAM FOR LIVABLE CITIES
Asian Development Bank (ADB) allocates 13.6 million EUR to Georgia for preparation activities on investment program for livable cities.
The matter concerns carrying out a feasibility study, a detailed study of social and environmental circumstances, preparation of design and tender documentation, etc.
EBRD ALLOCATES 38M EUR FOR “ENGURHES” REHABILITATION
Credit agreement with EBRD, envisaging allocation of total 38 million EUR for rehabilitation of Georgia’s largest hydroelectric station EngurHES, is submitted to Georgian Parliament for ratification.
As Georgian Finance Ministry specifies, the agreement, signed with EBRD in 2018, envisages allocation of 28 million EUR for a period of 15 years with a 3.5-year grace period.
LIMIT OF DEPOSIT INSURANCE IS PLANNED TO INCREASE
Fiscal Committee of Georgian Parliament reported that limit of deposit insurance is planned to increase. Currently, insurance applies to deposits of up to 5,000 lari.

Today, Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili, chairman of Committee on Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgian Parliament Nino Tsilosani and members of the working group, studying of pollution of environment in Kvemo Kartli region of the country, examined execution of nature protection actions by RMG (the company extracting precious metals).
Main issues within obligations, defined for the company, concerned measures on prevention of water pollution, the Ministry reported.
“AIR FRANCE” RESUMES FLIGHTS BETWEEN PARIS AND TBILISI
Since April 1, French national carrier Air France will resume flights between Paris and Tbilisi, reported TAV Georgia (operator of Tbilisi and Batumi airports).
TAV Georgia noted that during summer navigation season, flights from the airport Charles de Gaulle to Tbilisi will be made twice a week, by Airbus-320-21.
