    GEORGIAN PREMIER: WE NEED MORE INVESTMENTS, MORE TRADE AND MORE THE US IN GEORGIA

    We need more investments, more trade and more the US in Georgia, Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared. He noted that currently, up to 200 American companies operate in Georgia.


    PRIME MINISTER: THE GOVERNMENT WILL POSTPONE OBLIGATIONS OF “ANAKLIA DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM”

    The government will postpone obligations of Anaklia Development Consortium (which builds deep-water port in Anaklia), Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared. The subject will be considered at the next government meeting, he said.


    THE PARLIAMENT APPROVED THE STATE INSPECTOR’S CANDIDACY

    Georgian Parliament approved at the plenary session on June 11 Londa Toloraia on the post of the State Inspector. Her candidacy got votes of 82 MPs, while 12 MPs voted contra.


    “NATIONAL MOVEMENT” DOES NOT ESTIMATE POSITIVELY THE GOVERNMENT’S REPORT ON EXECUTION OF STATE BUDGET-2018

    Today, Georgian Parliament’s fraction of oppositional National Movement considered at the meeting the government’s report on performance of the state budget-2018. As the Parliament reported, members of the fraction did not estimate positively the report, which was presented by Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze.

    NBG LEFT MONETARY POLICY RATE INTACT AGAIN

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared that its Monetary Policy Committee decided today to leave the refinancing rate without change. Respectively, the monetary policy rate still makes up 6.5%.


    BUSINESS DELEGATIONS OF HONG KONG AND JAPAN STUDIED PROJECTS OF PARTNERSHIP FUND

    Georgian Partnership Fund reported that representative of business circles of Hong Kong and Japan became interested in investment projects of the Fund. The introducing meeting took place in the Fund on June 11.


    PAID PARKING IN TBILISI TO BE DIVIDED INTO 3 ZONES

    Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared that paid parking in Tbilisi will be divided into 3 zones – A, B and C. Hourly parking fee in zone A will make up 1 lari, in zone B – 2 lari, in zone C – 3 lari, he said at the capital government meeting today.


    TENDERS ANNOUNCED FOR ARRANGEMENT AND REHABILITATION OF PARKS IN TBILISI

    Tbilisi City Hall declared that tender is announced on predesign study and preparation of the project documentation for functional zoning of Vake Park. At the next stages, rehabilitation of the park, including its water-falling cascade and fountains, is planned.

    ECONOMY MINISTRY: TREATMENT OF CHIATURA MINERS WILL BE PROVIDED BY SACHKHERE HOSPITAL

    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported about meeting, which held today in administration of the government, where labor conditions of miners of Georgian Manganese were discussed, including settlement of healthcare and food issues.

    In particular, participants of the meeting considered complex solution of healthcare issue – provision of primary medical aid to miners on the place and treatment in Sachkhere clinic, which is in 10 minutes from Chiatura (where mines of Georgian Manganese are located), the Ministry said.
