GEORGIAN PREMIER: EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT WITH THEIR SHAMEFUL RESOLUTION TOLD US THAT SAAKASHVILI IS THEIR AGENT

IDFI: IN 2022, QUALITY OF ACCESSIBILITY OF PUBLIC INFORMATION IN GEORGIA HAS SIGNIFICANTLY DETERIORATED
In 2022, compared to 2021, quality of public information accessibility in Georgia has deteriorated significantly, declared the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI). We believe that investment activity in Georgia will be high this year as well, says the weekly analytical review of TBC Capital. In 2022, volume of foreign direct investments in Georgia increased by 61% compared to 2021 and amounted to $2 billion.
REAL GAIN OF GEORGIAN PENSION FUND MAKES UP 3.56%
Georgian Pension Agency reported that starting from January 2019 (enactment of accumulative pension system in Georgia) and to January 2022, net gain of the Pension Fund made up 42.64%. Real gain (i.e. adjusted to inflation) for the same period made up 3.56%, the Agency said.
PROJECT DOCUMENTATION ON ANAKLIA PORT TO BE UPDATED BY COMPANY ESTABLISHED BY GEORGIAN STATE PROPERTY AGENCY
This week, the National State Property Agency will establish a state-owned company that will start updating the project documentation on Anaklia port, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili told journalists after the government meeting today. Environmental and technical documentation will be updated so that we can start construction this year, he noted.
A FINE WILL BE IMPOSED FOR PUTTING AGRICULTURAL LANDS ON FIRE
At the meeting today, the Georgian government discussed amendments to the Georgian Code of Administrative Offences, which impose a fine for putting agricultural lands on fire. In particular, the fine for putting grain plantations on fire by an individual will make up 1,000 lari per ha, while for a legal entity – 2,000 lari.

OIL REFINING COMPLEX IN KULEVI TO BE BUILT BY “BLACK SEA PETROLEUM”
Black Sea Petroleum will build an industrial complex in Kulevi (Khobi municipality of Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti region), Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili told journalists after the government meeting today. The Minister said that the matter concerns a multi-phase project, on which first stage, an oil refinery will be built and at least $30 million will be invested.

INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER RIGHTS WEEK IS BEING HELD IN GEORGIA
The first International Consumer Rights Protection Week is being held in Georgia on March 13-17, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported. Within the event, meetings with consumers, business sector and students will be held.
