    MAMUKA KHAZARADZE ANNOUNCED CREATION OF NEW MOVEMENT

    Mamuka Khazaradze, founder of Georgia’s largest TBC Bank, announced creation of new civil movement, For Worthy Georgia, in September.

    “If we want to build strong Georgia, first of all, we have to return dignity to people – these are words of Giorgi Chkondideli [adviser to Georgian king David Agmashenebeli], and today we have to start exactly from here – returning of dignity to Georgians”, Khazaradze posted on his Facebook.

    IN 6 MONTHS, 172.75M LARI WERE SPENT FROM THE STATE BUDGET’S ACCOUNT BALANCE

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that as of January 1, the state budget’s account balance amounted to 661.2 million lari, including free account balance of 660.58 million lari.

    The volume of account balance as of July 1 amounted to 488.46 million lari, including free account balance of 487.56 million lari.


    IN 6 MONTHS, THE GOVERNMENT RESERVE FUND’S ALLOCATIONS TOTALED TO 30.9M LARI

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that funds, allocated in 23 cases by reserve fund of the government during 6 months of this year, totaled to 30.9 million lari.

    At that, 5.38 million lari were not actually spent as of July 1, making up 17.4% of total sum.


    THE STATE BUDGET’S PAYMENTS FOR SOCIAL WELFARE MADE UP 99.9% OF THE PLAN

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that the state budget’s payments for social welfare totaled in January-June to 1.91 billion lari. The volume makes up 99.9% of the semiannual plan, the Service noted.


    ROADS DEPARTMENT CHAIRMAN: WORK ON THE PROJECT OF ROAD TO ANAKLIA PORT IS CONDUCTED ACCORDING TO PLAN

    Work on the project of the road to Anaklia port is conducted according to the plan, chairman of Georgian Roads Department Irakli Karseladze assured.

    “As we had planned, we assume to reveal already by November the winner company on construction works”, Karseladze declared.


    ROADS DEPARTMENT CHAIRMAN: TRAVEL FROM RED BRIDGE TO SARPI WILL BE POSSIBLE IN 4-4.5 HOURS

    Chairman of Georgian Roads Department Irakli Karseladze declares that travel from Red Bridge (border with Azerbaijan) to Sarpi (Black Sea coast) will be possible in 4-4.5 hours. At the moment, on the mentioned route (East-West Highway, E60), 200 km of high-speed road is already built, while construction works are underway on 140 km, he noted.


    PRIME MINISTER: AIMING PROVISION OF HOUSING FOR THE MILITARY AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, ONE MORE PROJECT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED

    Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared that one more project will be implemented, aiming provision of housing for military personnel and their family members. In particular, apartment houses for 635 officers will be built in Tbilisi through the state co-financing, he said.

    EUROBONDS OF “SILKNET” ARE ADMITTED IN LISTING “A” OF GEORGIAN STOCK EXCHANGE

    Georgian Stock Exchange reported that Eurobonds, issued by Georgian telecom operator SilkNet, are admitted since July 29 in listing of category “A”. The placement was served by TBC Capital.
