“Our aim is to get credit rating of investment grade, “BBB”, as soon as possible”, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili declared. That “will pass the country to qualitatively new stage in the investment world and attraction of credits both sovereign and private will become much easier and cheap”, he pointed.
THE WB GROUP PREPARED STRATEGY FOR 2018-2021
Georgia Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met yesterday with the World Bank (WB) vice-president for Europe and Central Asia region Cyril Muller, who pays visit to Tbilisi in connection with the 25th anniversary of Georgia-WB cooperation.
Reforms in Georgia and strategy of WB Group for 2018-2021 were the main subjects of consideration at the meeting, administration of Georgian government reported.
ECONOMY MINISTRY: AMERICAN DELEGATION STUDIES INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT OF GEORGIA
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that the US investors, in particular, representatives of investment funds, are visiting Georgia. The visit (September 12-18) is organized by Produce in Georgia Agency of the Ministry and the US embassy.
PUBLIC REGISTER AND LABOR MINISTRY TO MONITOR LABOR MIGRATION JOINTLY
Justice Ministry’s National Agency of Public Register reported about signing with Ministry of Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection of memorandum on monitoring of processes of labor migration.
According to the memorandum, the Ministry gets access and possibility of monitoring of constantly updated database on business entities, engaged in labor migration abroad, the Agency specified.
ECONOMY MINISTRY: WITHIN 27 MONTHS, RAPPROCHEMENT WITH AVIATION REQUIREMENTS OF THE EU WAS UNDERWAY IN CIVIL AVIATION AGENCY
Ending event of the EU “Twinning” program’s project “Rapprochement of aviation legislation of Georgia with standards of the EU” was held in Tbilisi today.
The project worth 1.23 million EUR was launched in June 2015, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development said.
IN DOMESTIC TOURISM SEGMENT, MONTHLY AVERAGE EXPENSES OF VISITORS AMOUNTED IN Q2 TO 115.8M LARI
Sakstat declared that monthly average expenses of visitors of 15 years and above in segment of domestic tourism amounted in the 2nd quarter to 115.8 million lari. To compare: in the 2nd quarter of 2016, this indicator made up 115.1 million lari.
IN DOMESTIC TOURISM SEGMENT, MONTHLY AVERAGE NUMBER OF VISITORS OF 15 YEARS AND ABOVE MADE UP 858,900
Sakstat declared that in segment of domestic tourism, monthly average number of visitors of 15 years and above in the 2nd quarter made up 858,900. To compare: in the 2nd quarter of 2016, this indicator made up 870,600.
THE GOVERNMENT: BROADBAND INTERNET IS ALREADY AVAILABLE IN TUSHETI
Georgian government declared that broadband internet access is already available in 24 villages and 4 gorges of Tusheti, mountainous area in the northeast of the country.
As the government noted, the project was implemented Tusheti Development Fund together with international organization ISOC with support of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
ECONOMY MINISTRY: SHOOTINGS OF ONE MORE MOVIE BEGIN IN GEORGIA
Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that shootings of the new movie begin within “Take a Film in Georgia” component of “Produce in Georgia” state program. Namely, British director Julian Richards takes feature film “Daddy’s Girl” with support of Georgian production company Sarke Studio.
