THE PRESIDENT URGED “GEORGIAN DREAM” TO NOMINATE FOR PREMIERSHIP THE PARTY LEADER BIDZINA IVANISHVILI, THEY NAMED MAMUKA BAKHTADZE

Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili declared that "masquerade, when people are appointed, but real decision-maker is provided to be the party", causes damage to Georgia, the European choice and stability of the country.

"If we speak about the European choice and formation of the European state, prime ministers there [i.e. in Europe] are party leaders and, respectively, Bidzina Ivanishvili, as the leader of ruling party, has to become the prime minister", the President declared, while speaking today at the 15^th international conference "Georgia’s European Way" in Batumi.




SPEAKER: FOR THE COUNTRY, IT WOULD BE NOT CORRECT TO HELD PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS AT THIS STAGE

"Because of various reasons, it would be not correct for the country to held parliamentary elections at this stage" (the matter concerns early elections), chairman of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze declared to journalists.

Kobakhidze indicated that "if now, opposition in the Parliament is represented by 33 deputies, in case the parliamentary elections are held today, representation of opposition can appear even less".

IN Q1, MONTHLY AVERAGE NUMBER OF DOMESTIC VISITS INCREASED BY 0.6% Y-O-Y

Sakstat reported that monthly average number of domestic visits, made in the 1^st quarter by people of 15 years and above, made up 983,600. If compared with the same period of 2017, the number has increased by 0.6%.




IN Q1, MONTHLY AVERAGE EXPENSES OF DOMESTIC VISITORS INCREASED BY 9% Y-O-Y

Sakstat reported that monthly average expenses of domestic visitors of 15 years and above in the 1^st quarter made up 122.3 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2017 (112.2 million lari,) this indicator has increased by 9%.




REHABILITATION OF KUTAISI-TSKALTUBO-TSAGERI-LENTEKHI-LASDILI ROAD TO BE COMPLETED IN 2019

Roads Department reported that 2 rehabilitation projects are underway on Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili road, applying to sections with total length of 24 km.

As the Department noted, the works, which were started in 2017, will be finished in 2019.




FIELD WORKS WITHIN NATIONAL NAVIGATION PROJECT ARE UNDERWAY IN LENTEKHI AND TSAGERI

Field works within national navigation project are underway in municipalities of Lentekhi and Tsageri (Racha-Lechkhumi - Kvemo Svaneti region), National Agency of Public Register reported. Data collection will be completed in this month.




ABOUT 150 COMPANIES FROM 12 COUNTRIES PARTICIPATE IN "WINEXPO GEORGIA 2018"

Today, the 11^th international exhibition of wine and alcoholic beverages "WinExpo Georgia 2018" was opened in Tbilisi exhibition center ExpoGeorgia, which will last for 3 days.

As National Wine Agency said, part in the exhibition is taken by up to 150 companies from 12 countries.




HARVEST OF PEACHES IN KAKHETI IS EXPECTED THIS YEAR AT 23,600 T

This year, harvest of peaches in Kakheti region is expected at 23,600 t, while of nectarine - at 13,000 t, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reported.

As the Ministry said, in order to provide assistance to gathering and realization of the harvest, coordination headquarters will be created in Gurjaani.

“FINCA BANK” TO GET 15M LARI FROM “SYMBIOTICS”

Georgian FINCA Bank declared about forthcoming receiving of 15 million lari for crediting expansion. The bank signed respective agreement with Swiss investment company Symbiotics.




“ISBANK GEORGIA” GOT $7M FROM BSTDB

Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) allocated credit of $7 million to Isbank Georgia. The respective agreement was signed recently.
