GEORGIAN FINANCE MINISTRY: THE US WILL ALLOCATE TO GEORGIA ADDITIONAL $20M
Georgian Finance Ministry declared that the US will allocate to Georgia additional $20 million. Respective amendments to existing grant agreements were discussed today at the meeting in the Ministry by the Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili and director of the USAID mission Douglas Ball.

Georgia’s Energy Minister Ilya Eloshvili has attended official signing ceremony of extension of Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli Production Sharing Agreement in Baku.
As the Energy Ministry reported, Eloshvili declared that “any progress connected with these fields directly affects our economic wellbeing and political value”.
GEORGIA’S PARTNERSHIP FUND AND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OPENED JOINT REPRESENTATION IN CHINA’S GUANGZHOU
Georgian Partnership Fund reported about opening of joint representation with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia in the city of Guangzhou of Chinese province of Jiangxi.
The representation is located in the building of the Center of Eurasian Trade and Commercial Cooperation.

AJARA GOVERNMENT: 7.6M LARI TO BE SPENT ON ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE IN KHULO MUNICIPALITY
Government of Ajara declared that 7.6 million lari will be spent this year for road infrastructure in Khulo municipality. Up to 10 km of asphalt concrete pavement and up to 25 km of concrete pavement will be laid, 17 km of ameliorative channel will be reconstructed, as well as new bridge will be built, the government noted.
TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ALLOCATED TO KUTAISI MUNICIPALITY
Georgian government allocated temporary financial assistance to Kutaisi municipality.
As respective order of the government indicates, “taking into account terms for payment of taxes, resources mobilized for the moment by municipality of the city of Kutaisi, are insufficient for financing of current liabilities of the municipality”.
EIB PLANS TO ISSUE CREDIT TO “NENSKRA HYDRO”
Georgian government declared that European Investment Bank (EIB) plans to issue credit to Nenskra Hydro. The matter concerns the sum of up to $275 million.
“TELASI” IS FINED BECAUSE OF VIOLATION OF LICENSE CONDITIONS
National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission declared that fine of 5,000 lari was imposed on JSC TELASI (Tbilisi energy distributor) in favor of the state budget because of violation of license conditions.
The Commission explained fining with contracts on electricity purchase, signed by the energy distributor with commercial consumers, which “do not correspond to Georgian legislation and requirements, established by the Commission”.
