DAVID KIRVALIDZE APPOINTED AS AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT ADVISER TO THE PREMIER
David Kirvalidze is appointed as agriculture development adviser to the Prime Minister, administration of the government announced. Kirvalidze, born in 1967, held post of Agriculture Minister twice (in 2000-2004 and 2012-2013).

SERVICE FOR STANDARDS AND CERTIFICATION OF PLANT SEEDS AND SEEDLING MATERIALS OPENED A LAB
Agriculture Ministry reported that Agriculture Scientific-Research Center’s Service for Standards and Certification of Plants Seeds and Seedling Materials has opened laboratory in Tsilkani village of Mtskheta municipality (Mtskheta-Mtianeti region). The laboratory conducts tests in line with demands of International Seedlings Testing Association (ISTA), the Ministry pointed.

The government decided to authorize Tbilisi Development Fund to conduct simplified procurements of goods, service and construction works within rehabilitation of Grigol Orbeliani Square, Dry Bridge and nearby territory in the capital. The decision is explained by intention “to conduct measures of state and public importance smoothly within restricted timeframe”.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION INSPECTOR’S REPORT: BIG PART OF CONSIDERED COMPLAINTS IS RELATED TO GROUNDS AND PRINCIPLES OF DATA PROCESSING
Out of 216 complaints, considered during 2016, 121 ones were related to grounds and principles of data processing, Personal Data Protection Inspector’s report states. Of them, big part referred to access to citizens’ financial data and disclosure of information on their loan liabilities to the third party, as well as access to medical records, the document points.
