    IN JUNE, LIVING WAGE INCREASED BY 6.7% Q-O-Q AND BY 15% Y-O-Y

    Sakstat reported that Georgia’s living wage for an able-bodied man in June made up 214.5 lari.

    If compared with March, the showing has increased by 13.5 lari (or by 6.7%).


    THE PARLIAMENT TO CONSIDER DRAFT AMENDMENTS TO THE STATE BUDGET-2021 ON JULY 23

    Georgian Parliament announced that draft amendments to the state budget-2021 of the country will be considered at the extraordinary meeting on July 23.

    Today, after consideration of the draft in parliamentary committees and factions, the concluding discussion was held in the Fiscal Committee, which supported the amendments.


    “COLLIERS GEORGIA”: IN Q1, SIZE OF TBILISI MARKET OF NEW APARTMENTS INCREASED BY 4% Y-O-Y, WHILE ONE OF OLD APARTMENTS DECREASED BY 3%

    Colliers Georgia reported that in the 1st quarter, 7,738 transactions on Tbilisi market of residential real estate were recorded. If compared with the same period of 2020, the number has increased by 4%, while if compared with the 1st quarter of 2019 – by 6%, the company pointed.


    “COLLIERS GEORGIA”: IN Q1, SIZE OF BATUMI MARKET OF RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE DECREASED BY 5% Y-O-Y

    Colliers Georgia reported that in the 1st quarter, 2,205 transactions on Batumi market of residential real estate were recorded. If compared with the same indicator of 2020, the number has decreased by 7%, while if compared with the 1st quarter of 2019, the number has increased by 9%, the company pointed.


    IN 2020, FISH PRODUCTION IN FISH FARMS DECREASED BY 16%

    Sakstat reported that in 2020, fish production in Georgian fish farms totaled to 2,071 t. If compared with 2019, the volume has reduced by 16%.


    WITHIN “DIGITIZE GEORGIA” PROJECT, BUSINESSES AND ATTRACTIONS HAVE BEEN DIGITIZED IN 17 MUNICIPALITIES

    Georgian Agency of Innovations and Technologies reported that digital missions were organized in 17 municipalities of the country, which included trainings and walking tours. As a result, local businesses and attractions were digitized in these areas, the Agency said.

    ECONOMY MINISTRY: “DONGFANG ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION” IS INTERESTED IN ENTRY TO GEORGIAN MARKET

    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that the Chinese Dongfang Electric International Corporation is interested in entry to Georgian market.

    The Chinese manufacturer of energy equipment is considering also opening a regional representation office, the Ministry said.


    REGULATING COMMISSION FINED 8 MINOR GAS DISTRIBUTORS AND “DARIALI ENERGY”

    Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission declared today about imposition of fines on 8 minor gas distributors because of non-compliance with requirements of legal acts.

    The fines, imposed in favor of the state budget, total to 130,000 lari.
