    NATIONAL WINE AGENCY TO LAUNCH ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATION SYSTEM IN FEBRUARY

    National Wine Agency declared that it will launch electronic certification system on February 1 of this year.

    As head of the Agency Giorgi Samanishvili pointed, “Introduction of the electronic system will simplify certification procedures, while entrepreneurs will not have to come to the Agency any more”.


    IN 2017, PASSENGER TRAFFIC AT GEORGIA’S AIRPORTS INCREASED BY 43.43% Y-O-Y

    Civil Aviation Agency reported that total number of passengers, transported during 2017 by means of regular and charter flights through Georgia’s airports, made up 4.07 million. This number exceeds by 43.43% the indicator of 2016, the Agency noted.

    “GEORGIAN AIRWAYS” GOT PERMISSIONS ON NEW DIRECTIONS

    Georgian Airways announced about receiving of permissions on implementation of regular flights to Barcelona, Berlin, Bologna, Bratislava, Brussels, Cologne and Paris. These flights will be launched on March 25.


    PERMISSIONS ON FLIGHTS IN WINTER RESORT AREAS ISSUED TO 2 COMPANIES

    Civil Aviation Agency declared that permissions on flights in winter resort areas were issued to Wucher Helicopter GmbH and HTM Helicopter Travel Munich GmbH.

    Austrian Wucher Helicopter GmbH will conduct flights in alpine resorts of Gudauri and Mestia between January 15 and April 15.


    “ANAKLIA CITY” BECAME PARTNER OF KAZAKHSTAN’S ECONOMIC ZONE

    Anaklia City declared that within visit to Kazakhstan, memorandum of cooperation was signed with special economic zone Khorgos, which part is the world’s largest so-called dry port.

    Khorgos, located on several thousands of ha at Kazakhstan-China border, is considered as important hub on the new Silk Road, Anaklia City noted.


    “CAUCASUS ENERGY&INFRASTRUCTURE” IS GOING TO BUY-OUT ORDINARY SHARES

    Caucasus Energy&Infrastructure (CEI, energy and infrastructure projects), declared intention to buy-out ordinary from all those shareholders, who is going to quit this JSC.

    As the company noted, total number of shares, intended

    to buy-out, is limited by 25% of total number of issued ordinary shares, i.e. up to 3.57 million shares.


    WITHIN “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA”, 2 MORE ENTERPRISES WILL BE CREATED IN TBILISI

    Georgian government declared that within “Produce in Georgia” state program, enterprise will be created in Tbilisi, producing glues, extracts of paints, etc.

    For that end, the state-owned real estate will be handed over through direct sale to LLC Geochem.

    THE EU-FUNDED PROGRAM RENDERED ASSISTANT TO 830 IDP FAMILIES

    Yesterday, 2-year grant program “Equal Access of IDPs to Economic Opportunities”, financed by the EU, was officially closed.

    The program was implemented by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in cooperation with the UN Women.
