    IN 2019, LOSS OF “CARREFOUR” CHAIN INCREASED BY 20.2%

    LLC Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets Georgia (chain of hyper- and supermarkets Carrefour) reported loss of 32.5 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of the company, the volume has increased by 20.2% year-on-year.


    IN 2019, PROFIT OF “FOODMART” INCREASED 3.7 TIMES

    JSC Foodmart reported net profit of 5.3 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian consumer goods retailer, the volume has increased 3.7 times year-on-year.


    IN 2019, PROFIT OF “NOVA” INCREASED BY 7.8%

    LLC Nova reported net profit of 4.04 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian company, engaged in production, realization, import and export of construction materials, the volume has increased by 7.8% year-on-year.


    AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PROFIT OF “ALDAGI” INCREASED BY 2.8% Y-O-Y

    Aldagi reported net profit of 13.96 million lari for the 3rd quarter. According to report of this Georgian insurance company, the volume has increased by 2.8% year-on-year.


    AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PROFIT OF “ARDI” DECREASED BY 20.3% Y-O-Y

    Ardi reported net profit of 594,135 lari for the 3rd quarter. According to report of this Georgian insurance company, the volume has decreased by 20.3% year-on-year.


    IN 2019, LOSS OF FOOTBALL CLUB “DYNAMO TBILISI” INCREASED BY 60.2%

    LLC Football Club Dynamo Tbilisi reported loss of 7.45 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of the company, the volume has increased by 60.2% year-on-year.

    NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS: CONSTRUCTION OF SERIES OF “NAMAKHVANHES” HYDROELECTRIC STATIONS MUST BE SUSPENDED

    Several Georgian non-governmental organizations (Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC), Green Alternative, Georgian Young Lawyers Association) urge Georgian authorities to suspend works on construction of series of NamakhvanHES hydroelectric stations until holding of due consultations, including ones with local population.

    The organizations indicate that construction works are actually carried out in conditions, when essential researches and documentation are not presented.
