    SOCIAL JUSTICE CENTER: “ANTI-OLIGARCHIC” LAW OF UKRAINE, AS WELL AS ITS GEORGIAN ANALOGUE – ARE LEGALLY VAGUE

    Social Justice Center assessed that the “anti-oligarchic” law of Ukraine, as well as its Georgian analogue, are “vague” in legal terms. “This document could also have an anti-constitutional content”, the organization said.

    GEORGIA’S TOURISM REVENUES FULLY RECOVERED COMPARED TO 2019

    For 10 months of this year, Georgia’s revenues from tourism amounted to $2.85 billion, reported Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. This means a 100% recovery compared to the same period of 2019 (before the pandemic), the Ministry pointed.


    CHAIRMAN OF GEORGIAN PARLIAMENT’S FISCAL COMMITTEE: I THINK THAT IN 2023 WE WILL HAVE HIGHER ECONOMIC GROWTH

    “Despite the existing challenges, I think that in 2023 we will have higher economic growth”, declared Irakli Kovzanadze, chairman of Georgian Parliament’s Fiscal Committee. This “will provide an opportunity to cut the deficit further”, he said during consideration of the revised draft state budget-2023 at the plenary session of the Parliament.


    DELEGATIONS FROM 20 COUNTRIES ATTENDED COMPETITION AND CONSUMER RIGHTS CONFERENCE IN TBILISI

    The 1st International Conference on Competition and Consumer Rights, which held in Tbilisi (November 16-17), was attended by delegations from 20 countries, reported Georgian National Competition Agency.

    The Agency said that the event gathered over 200 guests, including a representative of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and other international experts.

    GEORGIAN PARTNERSHIP FUND FINISHED 2021 WITH PROFIT

    Georgian Partnership Fund reported net profit of 179 million lari for 2021 (unaudited consolidated statements). In 2020, the Fund had loss of 196 million lari (consolidated data).


    IN 2021, PROFIT OF JSC “GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION” INCREASED 46 TIMES

    In 2021, net profit of JSC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation amounted to 138 million lari. If compared with 2020, the volume has increased 46 times.


    IN 2021, NET PROFIT OF “GEORGIAN GAS TRANSPORTATION COMPANY” DECREASED BY 21.9%

    The state-owned LLC Georgian Gas Transportation Company had net profit of 25 million lari for 2021. According to the audited data of the LLC, the volume has decreased by 21.9% compared with 2020.


    TURKISH-GERMAN “SUNEXPRESS” TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS TO GEORGIA NEXT YEAR

    Turkish-German airline SunExpress (JV of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa) is going to operate in Georgia, starting from June 2023, declared LLC Georgian Airports Association. The airline will fly to Tbilisi from 3 Turkish cities: Ankara, Antalya and Izmir.
