THE CIS SUMMIT WAS POSTPONED

Today with the request of the Russian President Boris Yeltsin was made the decision about the postponing for a month of the CIS Heads meeting. As it is known, this meeting was supposed to be held on March 19 in Moscow.




TAMAZ NADAREISHVILI PROTESTS AGAINST THE INVITATION OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE SEPARATISTS TO THE RUSSIAN ORGANIZATION CONFERENCE

The representatives of Abkhazia – President of the self-proclaimed Republic Vladislav Ardzinba and the Prime minister Sergei Bagapsh – are invited on March 20 to Rostov-Don to the regular sitting of the Association of the Social-Economical Cooperation of the North Caucasus Republics and Russia’ South Regions. Regarding this, the Chairman of the Abkhazian autonomous Republic Supreme Counsel Tamaz Nadareishvili made a protest.

ACCORDING TO THE PRESIDENT’S DECISION THE LAW “ON THE WOOD EXPORT” WILL BE ADOPTED ONLY AFTER THE CORRECTIONS WILL BE MADE IN IT

President vetoed the law “On Prohibiting the Wood Export” sanctioned by the Parliament on February 20. This was done on that basis that such law contradicts the agreement signed between Georgia and WB, ratified by Parliament on May 21 of 1996.
