US STATE SECRETARY CONFIRMED THE US SUPPORT TO GEORGIA
Within his visit to Georgia (November 17-18), the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia today. The US embassy in Georgia reported that the parties discussed the US support to Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and strengthening of democratic institutes in the country.

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared about sell of $30 million at the currency auction today. Average weighted exchange rate made up 3.2902 GEL/USD.
NBG BASELINE FORECAST: GEORGIAN ECONOMY IN 2020 WILL BE REDUCED BY 5%, INFLATION WILL MAKE UP 5.3%
Baseline forecast of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) assumes that Georgia’s GDP in 2020 will be reduced by 5%. In tits turn, inflation is expected to remain above its target indicator (3%), making up 5.3%.

Despite economic crisis, caused by COVID-19 pandemic, real estate prices in Georgia did not change considerably, National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared. That is caused to some extent by targeted assistance to real estate sector from the state, NBG said.

Georgian National Communication Commission reported that income of Georgian mobile communications sphere totaled in January-September to 361.99 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has decreased by 2.1%.
IN 9 MONTHS, INCOME OF SPHERE OF FIXED COMMUNICATIONS DECREASED BY 16.3% Y-O-Y
Georgian National Communication Commission reported that retail income of Georgian sphere of fixed communications totaled in January-September to 20.4 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2019, the volume has decreased by 16.3%.
IN 2019, PROFIT OF “BATUMI AIRPORT” INCREASED BY 1.9%
LLC Batumi Airport reported net profit of 20.9 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of the company, the volume has increased by 1.9% year-on-year.
AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PROFIT OF “IMEDI-L” REDUCED BY 36% Y-O-Y
Imedi-L reported net profit of 3.1 million lari for the 3rd quarter. According to report of this Georgian insurance company, the volume has decreased by 36% year-on-year.
