THE INVESTMENTS TO THE TUNE OF $200M ARE NEEDED FOR ACHIEVING THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS LEVEL AND RENEWAL OF POTI PORT

THE CONTROL RULES OF FOOD FREIGHTS ON THE FRONTIER ARE BEING REGULATED
A new order of the ministry of agriculture and food-stuffs demarcates the functions and obligations among the various services, which are controlling food freights at the frontier objects. It regulates the functions of state inspection on the quality of grain products, state inspection on phitosanitary quarantine and customs services.
UNFINISHED OBJECTS BEING ON THE BALANCE OF MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD-STUFFS WILL BE PRIVATIZED
There are 2,132 unfinished objects, the total cost of which makes 70.1 million Lari. Among them there are 1,718 objects of social service and dwelling houses for the victims of the elements in Ajara and Svaneti, 186 objects of social infrastructure, 210 – in agrarian sector, 68 – in the irrigation system, 18 – in the sphere of food-stuffs and processing industry.
THE TERM OF RETURNING OF THE CREDITS, ALLOCATED FOR RTVELI-96, IS PROLONGED TILL THE END OF DECEMBER
The yesterday’s press-conference at Ministry of Agriculture and Food-Stuffs informed about it. Out of the allocated 6 million Lari the farmers paid 3.61 million, or 60% of the sum, and 485,000 Lari – for using the credit.
A SERVICE ON PROTECTION OF PLANTS IS CREATED AT THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD-STUFFS
As the head of the service Zurab Lipartia said at the yesterday’s press-conference at the ministry, 30-35% of the potential crop is lost because of various diseases of the plants. State inspection on phitosanitary quarantine and the republican station on protection of plants are under the supervision of the new service.
ANCHOVY TAKING IS CONTINUED
According to the operative data, 510 tons of anchovy was taken in all; including in Batumi zone – 286 t, in Poti zone – 226 t. The Ukrainian ships have taken 193 t.
