REPRESENTATIVES OF 120 GEORGIAN AND 34 UKRAINIAN COMPANIES TOOK PART IN BUSINESS FORUM IN TBILISI
Today, Tbilisi hosted business forum, which gathered together representatives to 120 Georgian and 34 Ukrainian companies, Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported. The forum was held within visit to Georgia of Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko.
CONSUMER GAS TARIFFS ARE RAISED
Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission raised today tariffs for KazTransGas-Tbilisi, SOCAR Georgia Gas and Sakorggas. The new tariffs will act starting from July 20 of this year until December 31, 2018.
“SAKSTAT” TO GET ADDITIONAL FINANCING FOR INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRONIC SYSTEM OF DATA COLLECTION
By the government’s order, allocation of additional financing is allowed for introduction of computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) system in Sakstat. According to the order, the system aims further development of selective researches of rural households.
OIL AND GAS CORPORATION: CONSTRUCTION OF TELAVI-AKHMETA GAS PIPELINE’S SECTION IS OVER
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation reported about completion of construction of 27-km section of Telavi-Akhmeta gas pipeline. Works were conducted by Georgian LLC Rapid Engineering&Construction, which was selected through the tender.
AJARA GOVERNMENT: REHABILITATION OF DRAINAGE COLLECTOR IN BATUMI WILL BE COMPLETED IN OCTOBER
The government of Ajara reported about rehabilitation of a drainage collector on Bagrationi Street, being conducted within project on rehabilitation of Batumi municipal infrastructure. The government said that the works, which were started in the 3rd quarter of 2016, will be completed in October of this year.
REHABILITATION OF IRRIGATION SYSTEMS OF VARTSIKHE AND TOBANIERI SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN NEXT SPRING
Agriculture Ministry reported about project on rehabilitation of irrigation systems of Vartsikhe and Tobanieri (Imereti region), being implemented by LLC Georgian Melioration. As the Ministry said, the project worth 2.2 million lari will be completed in spring of 2018.

ECONOMY MINISTRY: FREQUENCY OF FLIGHTS OF “GEORGIAN AIRWAYS” RESTORED
Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that with its mediation, restoration of those 4 weekly flights of Georgian air carrier Georgian Airways, which were suspended by Russian aviation authorities on July 14, was managed to achieve today. As a result, the company can continue its flights on Tbilisi-Moscow route in usual mode, the Ministry pointed.
MEDICAL CORPORATION “EVEX” PLACED BONDS OF 90M LARI
Georgian Healthcare Group (GHG) declared that its subsidiary, medical corporation Evex has placed recently local bonds of 90 million lari, having maturity of 5 years. The attracted sum will be directed on refinancing of credits of local commercial banks and funding of planned investment projects, GHG noted.
BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS AGAINST OF JSC “POTI AIRPORT” COMPLETED
Kutaisi city court ruled that proceedings on bankruptcy case of JSC Poti Airport are finished. Respectively, registration of the company in the Business Register will be cancelled.
“MIGROS GROUP” PLANS IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECTS IN GEORGIA’S HAZELNUT SECTOR
Agriculture Ministry reported that issues of deepening of cooperation in hazelnut sector were discussed at the meeting with representatives of Swiss Migros Group (retail business). At the meeting, the Swiss party pointed that it plans implementation of important projects in Georgia’s hazelnut sector, the Ministry said.
