THE PREMIER: GEORGIA IS COMMITTED TO ITS GOAL TO BUILD EUROPEAN COUNTRY WITH EUROPEAN DEMOCRACY AND INSTITUTIONS
Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated that Georgia “is committed to its goal to build European country with European democracy and institutions”. The Premier has declared the mentioned at the meeting with parliament speakers and vice-speakers of Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) member countries.

REAL GDP GROWTH IN 2016 MADE UP 2.7%
Sakstat published new estimation, saying that real GDP growth in 2016 made up 2.7%, while deflator – 4%. To compare, estimation, published on January 30, said that GDP growth rate in 2016 made up 2.2%.
DEADLINE WAIVED FOR TAX ARREARS AND STATE LOANS RESTRUCTURING
Current law allows companies to apply to the Finance Ministry with request to restructure tax arrears or state loans until January 1, 2017. The government initiated drafting of the bill, being already considered in the Parliament, which waives the mentioned deadline.
ROADS DEPARTMENT: CONTRACTS OF 200M LARI WERE SIGNED ON ROADS MAINTENANCE DURING 3 YEARS
Roads Department reported that during 3 years, contracts on roads maintenance were signed with 22 tender winner companies. Total cost of these contracts makes up 200 million lari, the Department said.
“DISCOUNT WEEK” TO HELD IN AJARA THROUGH APRIL 2
Georgian National Tourism Administration declared that the second phase of its initiative, “Discount Week”, started in Ajara on March 11, will last through April 2. As Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry said, the Week involves that part of hotels, which have more than 40 rooms and offer discount of 40% and above.
ECONOMY MINISTRY: 15 BENEFICIARY COMPANIES COMPLETED 2-YEAR COOPERATION WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that 15 companies, which took part in “Produce in Georgia” state program, have finished 24-month cooperation with Entrepreneurship Development Agency and began independent activity. Out of 15 mentioned companies, 12 ones are all new enterprises, while 3 companies were expanded within the program, the Ministry said.

“GEOCRAFT” TO IMPLEMENT ZESTAPONI WIND POWER PLANT PROJECT
Energy Development Fund said that Zestaponi power plant project (Imereti region) will be implemented by LLC Geocraft. Selection of investor for that project was announced on January 18.
“TELASI”: STRONG WINDS CAUSED SEVERAL BLACKOUTS
Tbilisi energy distributor JSC TELASI said that “technical service had working in emergency mode during whole night in order to restore power lines, damaged by strong winds”. There were reported several emergency shutdowns, the company pointed.
REGULATORY COMMISSION: CONSUMER TARIFFS OF “SOCAR GEORGIA GAS” AND “SAKORGGAS” IN REGULATED SECTOR WILL BE AVERAGED OUT
Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission said that there are 78 different distribution (consumer) tariffs, acting in regulation-subjected service area of SOCAR Gas Georgia and Sakorggas (i.e. consumers, connected before August 2008). Of them, 26 tariffs are of SOCAR Gas Georgia, while 52 ones – of Sakorggas.

Agency for State Property Management has put on auction non-agricultural land plot of 1,269 square m with buildings (1,938 square m) in Tbilisi. The auction will be ended on April 3.
REGISTRATION OF JSC “PERLITE” IS PLANNED TO CANCEL
Administration of JSC Perlite (Rustavi plant of building materials) announced plans to launch insolvency proceedings or liquidation of the JSC and cancel its registration. It is noteworthy that the JSC’s property has been sequestrated.
