    CANDIDATE ON PREMIER’S POST: STATE COMPONENT IN PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM SHOULD BE STRENGTHENED

    Giorgi Gakharia, ruling Georgian Dream’s nominee for the post of Georgia’s Prime Minister, declared that the state component in the public health system should be strengthened.

    As Gakharia pointed at the Parliament’s plenary meeting, which has to vote confidence to the government, process of strengthening of state holdings in the public healthcare has already started and it is headed by the Minister of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection Ekaterine Tikaradze.

    CANDIDATE ON PREMIER’S POST: WE SHOULD RECONSIDER EFFICIENCY OF STATE PROGRAMS OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT

    “There are many tools of the state financial support, which work efficiently today”, ruling Georgian Dream’s nominee for the post of Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared, indicating in this regard programs of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

    At the same time, we should “reconsider efficiency of these programs”, Gakharia said at plenary meeting of the Parliament, which has to vote confidence to the government.


    AGRARIAN COMMITTEE CHAIR: LAND BALANCE SHOULD BE DRAWN UP WITHOUT DELAY

    Nino Tsilosani, chair of Georgian Parliament’s Committee on Agrarian Issues, declared that drawing up the land balance “should be made without postponement of deadline”. The law envisages that this should be made until 2023, she noted.

    JSC Georgian Card reported profit of 3.5 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian payment service, the volume has increased 2 times year-on-year.

    JSC Iberia Refreshments reported loss of 12.4 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian producer of soft drinks under Pepsi trademark, the volume has increased 5.6 times year-on-year.


    IN 2019, LOSS OF “GMT HOTELS” INCREASED BY 69.4%

    LLC GMT Hotels reported loss of $9.6 million for 2019. According to audited report of this owner of several Georgian hotels, the volume has increased by 69.4% year-on-year.


    IN 2019, LOSS OF “GMT MTATSMINDA” INCREASED BY 89.7%

    LLC GMT Mtatsminda reported loss of $2.6 million for 2019. According to audited report of this company, operating restaurant Funicular, located in Mtatsminda Park of Tbilisi, the volume has increased by 89.7% year-on-year.


    IN 2019, LOSS OF “TSINANDLIS MAMULEBI” INCREASED BY 87.2%

    LLC Tsinandlis Mamulebi reported loss of 15 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Radisson Collection hotel, located in Kakheti region of Georgia, the volume has increased by 87.2%, if compared with 2018 (when the company started operation).
