ECONOMY MINISTRY: WITHIN SESSION OF IMO ASSEMBLY, GEORGIA SIGNED MEMORANDUMS WITH GERMANY AND BRAZIL
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that memorandums on professional retraining and employment of Georgian seafarers were signed with German and Brazilian sides within the 31st session of Assembly of International Maritime Organization (IMO, is held in London on November 25 – December 4).
According to the Ministry, the memorandum, signed with Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, envisages deepening of cooperation in the sphere of maritime transport.
ECONOMY MINISTRY: UNDER AUSPICES OF E5P, 4 PROJECTS WERE IMPLEMENTED IN GEORGIA
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that under auspices of Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P), 4 projects are implemented in the country.
Total cost of these projects makes up 76.8 million EUR, of which 16.4 million E5P was allocated by E5P as grant, the Ministry said.
ECONOMY MINISTER: EBRD HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST PORTFOLIOS IN GEORGIA, AS WE ARE ONE OF THE LEADING IN TERMS OF REFORMS
Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava indicated that EBRD has one of the largest portfolios in Georgia, explaining this by the country’s presence among leaders in terms of reforms.
EBRD “assists us and plays very important role in development of energy reform”, the Minister noted.
REGULATING COMMISSION APPROVED RULES OF MONITORING OF ENERGY MARKETS AND ASSESSMENT OF INVESTMENTS
Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission approved on November 22 rules of monitoring of energy markets and assessment of investments.
The rules aim introduction of European standards in Georgian power industry, sectors of natural gas and water supply, the Commission said.
BILL “ON INVESTMENT FUNDS” IS PLANNED TO INITIATE IN THE PARLIAMENT IN NEAR FUTURE
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that the bill “On Investment Funds” is planned to initiate in the Parliament in near future. Consideration of the draft with participation of representatives of public and private sectors was held in NBG today.

Today, Tbilisi hosted Georgian-Japanese business, organized with assistance of Japanese embassy in Georgia, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
Organizers from Georgian side were Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and its Produce in Georgia Agency, Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“FITCH” AFFIRMED “BB-” RATING OF “GEORGIAN” “RAILWAY”
Fitch Ratings reported about affirmation of rating of the state-owned JSC Georgian Railway at the level of “BB-” with “stable” outlook.
While explaining the action, the agency indicated expectations of the company’s unchanged links with the state.
“WIZZ AIR” STARTED FLIGHTS BETWEEN KUTAISI AND BOLOGNA TOO
After Irish low-coster Ryanair, direct regular flights between Kutaisi and Bologna (Italy) were started by Hungarian low-coster Wizz Air too, LLC Georgian Airports Association reported. Similarly to the Irish company, Hungarian airline conducts 2 flights a week.
