EU TRANSFERRED TRANCHE OF 100M EUR TO GEORGIA

Today, the EU transferred tranche of 100 million EUR to Georgia within programs of macrofinancial support, the EU representation in Georgia reported. The transferred amount comprises of preferential credit of 95 million EUR and grant of 5 million EUR.




NBG BROUGHT $50M ON AUCTION, SOLD $46.55M

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared about bringing of $50 million on currency auction today. Out of this sum, $46.55 million were sold.




NBG TO ANNOUNCE PLAN OF RESTORATION OF REQUIREMENTS TO BANKS’ CAPITAL BUFFERS AND TERMS OF THEIR STAGE-BY-STAGE REPLENISHMENT IN NEXT YEAR

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared that it will announce plan of restoration of banks’ capital buffers, released in this March, and terms of their stage-by-stage replenishment in 2021. Banking sector will be given sufficient time for buffers’ replenishment anew, NBG assured.




REHABILITATION OF KINTSVISI-GVERDZINETI-TKEMLOVANA ROAD SECTION IS COMPLETED

Georgian Roads Department reported about completion of rehabilitation of 15.4-km section of Kintsvisi-Gverdzineti-Tkemlovana motor road of domestic importance. That was mainly unsurfaced road that essentially complicated movement, the Department noted.

We continue introduction of zone-and-hour parking system “in scales of entire city, certainly, step by step”, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze declared at the capital government meeting today.

As the Mayor noted, this system is already enacted on Kote Abkhazi Street, Orbeliani Square, Peking Avenue and adjacent streets.

JSC Lomisi reported net profit of 584,000 lari for 2019. According to report of this Georgian brewery company, it had loss of 160,000 lari in 2018.




IN 9 MONTHS, PROFIT OF INSURANCE COMPANY “CARTU” DECREASED BY 21.5% Y-O-Y

Insurance company Cartu reported net profit of 1.1 million lari for the 3^rd quarter. According to report of the company, the volume has decreased by 21.5% year-on-year.
