DEPUTY ECONOMY MINISTER: WE WILL ACCELERATE PRIVATIZATION OF IDLE STATE ENTERPRISES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
Georgia’s First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Ekaterina Mikabadze declared that soon, the Ministry will present the action plan concerning state enterprises, developed with assistance of international partners. “We will accelerate process of privatization of the idle state enterprises as much as possible”, Mikabadze pointed.
LAND TRANSPORT AGENCY: NUMBER OF PERMISSIONS FOR OVERLAND FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION GROWS CONSIDERABLY
Georgian Land Transport Agency reported that 92,078 permissions for overland freight transportation were in 11 months of this year, against of just 40,697 in 2016 (i.e. number of permissions has increased twice year-on-year). At that, as director of the Agency Mikhail Khmaladze indicated, Georgian carriers have mastered quota, allocated for Georgia by the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT), already in August.
WORK ON THE PROJECT OF “GARDABANI-3” HEAT POWER STATION IS PLANNED TO START IN 2020
Giorgi Bakhtadze, director general of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, declared that start of work on the project of thermal power plant Gardabani-3 is planned for 2020. This station of combined cycle will utilize turbines of new modification with higher efficiency, he noted.
CONSTRUCTION OF WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM IN UREKI IS COMPLETED
Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported about completed construction of system of water supply and sewerage in Ureki (the Black Sea coast, Guria region). As the Ministry stressed, water treatment facility was built in Ureki for the first time.
CONSTRUCTION OF STADIUM IN KHASHURI TO BE COMPLETED IN 2020
Construction of stadium, meeting international standards, will be completed in Khashuri (Shida Kartli region) in 2020, Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared. Works were started in this May.

OIL AND GAS CORPORATION PLANS TO REFINANCE EUROBONDS IN THE NEXT YEAR
Giorgi Bakhtadze, director general of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, said that refinancing of the company’s Eurobonds is planned for April 2020. Within the refinancing, Eurobonds of 300 million EUR will be issued and funds, attracted from their placement, will be used for complete retirement of current emission of $250 million, Bakhtadze explained.
ONLY ONE COMPANY BECAME INTERESTED IN “VANRIK AGRO”
Georgian Partnership Fund reported that LLC FCO appeared the only participant of today’s auction, announced for alienation of demands to JSC Vanrik Agro. Respectively, the final price made up 12.1 million lari against the staring price of 12 million lari.
MILK FARM IS LAUNCHED IN KAKHETI WITHIN THE UNIFIED AGROPROJECT
Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reported about milk farm, launched by LLC White Farm in Kakheti region within the unified agroproject. According to the Ministry, investments into the project totaled to 15.2 million lari.
