    CONSIDERATION OF DRAFT CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS IN THIRD HEARING SCHEDULED FOR AUTUMN SESSION

    The Parliament said that draft of amendments to the Constitution will be considered in third hearing at autumn session.

    To remind, the Parliament unanimously adopted the amendments (115 votes pro) in first hearing on June 22, while in second hearing – on the next day, June 23.

    NEW REQUIREMENTS ON INFORMATION DISCLOSURE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMERCIAL BANKS

    The president of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) approved on June 22 rule of information publication by commercial banks (within pillar 3).

    The rule, which is based on requirements of Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (Basel III), corresponds to directive of the EU, NBG said.


    IN 2016, RATE OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY WITH CHICKEN INCREASED BY 5 PERCENTAGE POINTS, ONE OF EGGS – DECREASED BY 2 POINTS

    Sakstat reported that in 2016, rate of self-sufficiency with chicken-meat made up 35%. In 2015, this indicator made up 30%.


    IN 2016, RATE OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY WITH MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS DECREASED BY 5 PERCENTAGE POINTS

    Sakstat reported that in 2016, rate of self-sufficiency with milk and dairy products made up 82%. In 2015, this indicator made up 87%.

    MEDICAL INSURANCE PREMIUM IN Q1 INCREASED BY 8.7% Y-O-Y

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of March 31 in medical insurance, totaled to 84.46 million lari, increasing by 8.7% year-on-year. This kind of insurance accounts for 58.7% of total premium for the period.


    LIFE INSURANCE PREMIUM IN Q1 DECREASED BY 22.4% Y-O-Y

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of March 31 in life insurance, totaled to 6.88 million lari, reducing year-on-year by 22.4%. This kind of insurance accounts for 4.8% of total premium for the period.


    ACCIDENTS INSURANCE PREMIUM IN Q1 INCREASED BY 10.9% Y-O-Y

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of March 31 in accidents insurance, totaled to 1.26 million lari, increasing year-on-year by 10.9%. This kind of insurance accounts for 0.9% of total premium for the period.


    TRAVEL INSURANCE PREMIUM IN Q1 INCREASED BY 8.2% Y-O-Y

    State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of March 31 in travel insurance, totaled to 2.88 million lari, increasing year-on-year by 8.2%. This kind of insurance accounts for 2% of total premium for the period.


    “TSKALI MARGEBELI” TO PRODUCE JUICES TOGETHER WITH AUSTRIAN “RAUCH”

    On June 24, opening ceremony of soft drinks enterprise took place in village Nabeglavi (Guria region).

    Georgian holding Tskali Margebeli (Healthy Water) implemented the project together with Austrian and Swiss partners.


    LARGE OTC DEAL ON SHARES OF “TELIANI VALLEY” FIXED

    Georgian Stock Exchange reported about 5 OTC (over-the-counter) transactions with shares of winemaking company Teliani Valley, concluded on June 23.

    The total turnover made up 82.73 million shares with total cost of 13.95 million lari.

    LAND PLOTS OF 2 INDIVIDUALS TO BE EXPROPRIATED WITHIN CONSTRUCTION OF AKHALTSIKHE-BATUMI TRANSMISSION LINE

    Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that Georgian State Electrosystem is authorized to carry out expropriation of land plots of 2 private individuals within construction of Akhaltsikhe-Batumi high-voltage line (220 kV). The matter concerns two sites in Batumi, having area of 882 square m and 561 square m.
