In the 2nd quarter, transactions of 18.76 billion lari were made within Georgia by payment cards issued by resident issuers, National Bank of Georgia reported. If compared to the same period of 2023, the volume has increased by 18.5%.

In the 2nd quarter, transactions equivalent of 2.4 billion lari were made outside Georgia by payment cards issued by resident issuers, National Bank of Georgia reported. If compared to the same period of 2023, the volume has increased by 28.6%.

In the 2nd quarter, transactions of 1.06 billion lari were made in Georgia by payment cards issued by non-resident banks, National Bank of Georgia reported. If compared to the same period of 2023, the volume has increased by 25.3%.
IN Q2, VOLUME OF E-COMMERCE TRANSACTIONS BY GEORGIAN PAYMENT CARDS INCREASED BY 18% Y-O-Y
In the 2nd quarter, 52.9 million e-commerce transactions totaling to 4.1 billion lari were carried out by Georgian payment cards, National Bank of Georgia reported.
If compared to the same period of 2023, the transactions have increased by 15% in number and by 18% in volume.
