    GEORGIAN GOVERNMENT TO SUBSIDIZE FLOUR FROM FIRST-GRADE WHEAT

    “Georgian government made the decision on subsidizing of flour from wheat of the first grade that will allow to avoid rise in price of bread”, Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili declared today. The subsidizing program will start next week and will last for 4 months – until March 31 of the next year, he noted.


    NEXT YEAR, GEORGIA PLANS CULTIVATION OF NEW CROPS OF OLIVES ON 100 HA

    Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili declared that next year, cultivation of new crops of olive trees is planned in the country on the area of 100 ha.

    In case of technical assistance from the International Olive Council (IOC), production of olives in Georgia will increase considerably, the Minister noted.


    OIV ADDED WINE, MADE BY GEORGIAN TECHNOLOGY, TO LIST OF SPECIAL WINES

    Wine, made by Georgian technology, i.e. “infused by long maceration on squash (chacha)”, is added to the list of special wines of International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), Georgian National Wine Agency reported.

    As the Agency specified, the OIV list included 7 wines until now.


    IN 9 MONTHS, PROFIT OF GEORGIAN INSURANCE SECTOR INCREASED BY 31.1% Y-O-Y

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision released estimation for 9 months of this year, according to which net profit of Georgian insurers for the period totaled to 44.3 million lari. The volume has increased by 31.1% year-on-year.

    17 OUT OF 18 INSURANCE COMPANIES FINISHED 9 MONTHS WITH PROFIT

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision released estimation for 9 months of this year, according to which out of 18 Georgia-registered insurance companies, 17 had profit for the period. The volume totaled to 44.3 million lari, increasing by 31.1% year-on-year.


    IN 9 MONTHS, 5 COMPANIES ACCOUNT FOR 68.6% OF TOTAL INSURANCE PREMIUM

    Georgian State Service for Insurance Supervision released estimation for 9 months of this year, according to which in total premium, attracted for the period (513.2 million lari), share of 5 companies made up 68.6%, or 352 million lari.

    On the first position is GPIH with share of 20.4% (104.4 million lari, year-on-year growth – 27.6%).


    AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS OF BROADCASTING TRANSIT INCREASED BY 2.3% Y-O-Y, INCOME OF THE SPHERE – BY 8.8%

    Georgian National Communication Commission reported that as of September 30, number of subscribers of broadcasting transit totaled in Georgia to 634,121. If compared with the same period of 2019, the number has increased by 2.3%.


    IN TERMS OF ARPU IN SPHERE OF MOBILE SERVICES, “MAGTICOM” IS IN THE LEAD

    Georgian National Communication Commission reported that as of September 30, MagtiCom was a leader in terms of average revenue per user (ARPU) in the sphere of mobile services.

    In particular, MagtiCom’s ARPU in September made up 10.13 lari, increasing by 8.3% quarter-on-quarter and by 3.9% year-on-year.
