    AS OF JUNE 30, DEPOSITS PLACED IN NATIONAL CURRENCY INCREASED BY 17% Y-O-Y

    National Bank of Georgia reported that deposits, placed by legal entities and individuals in Georgian banks in national currency, totaled as of June 30 to 11.2 billion lari. The volume has increased by 13.4% quarter-on-quarter and by 17% year-on-year.


    AS OF JUNE 30, CREDITS ISSUED BY BANKS INCREASED BY 19.3% Y-O-Y

    National Bank of Georgia reported that credits, issued by Georgian banks (without interbank credits), totaled as of June 30 to 34.5 billion lari. The volume has decreased by 2.4% quarter-on-quarter, but increased by 19.3% year-on-year.


    AS OF JUNE 30, CREDITING OF ECONOMY INCREASED BY 23.2% Y-O-Y

    National Bank of Georgia reported that credits, issued by Georgian banks to various spheres of national economy, totaled as of June 30 to 16.28 billion lari. The volume has decreased by 4.5% quarter-on-quarter, but increased by 23.2% year-on-year.


    AS OF JUNE 30, VOLUME OF CREDITS ISSUED TO HOUSEHOLDS INCREASED BY 12.6% Y-O-Y

    National Bank of Georgia reported that credits, issued by Georgian banks to households of the country, totaled as of June 30 to 16.7 billion lari. The volume has decreased by 1.6% quarter-on-quarter, but increased by 12.6% year-on-year.


    GIZ TO ASSIST TBILISI CITY HALL IN SPHERE OF URBAN MOBILITY

    Tbilisi City Hall declared that it will be assisted in sphere of urban mobility by German society for international cooperation (GIZ). On July 24, the parties signed memorandum of understanding, which envisages launch of 3-year program in transport sphere.

    REGULAR AIR TRAFFIC BETWEEN TBILISI AND RIGA TO BE RESUMED SINCE AUGUST

    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that regular air traffic between the capitals of Georgia and Latvia will be resumed on August 5. Flights between Riga and Tbilisi will be conducted by Latvian AirBaltic.


    IN 2019, SALES OF “NIKORA” INCREASED BY 29.4%

    JSC Nikora, Georgian producer of dairy and meat products, said that its sales in 2019 amounted to 540.5 million lari. If compared with 2018, the volume has increased by 29.4%.


    “TBC BANK” REPORT: TAKING INTO ACCOUNT BONDS, ADMITTED TO LISTING OF GEORGIAN STOCK EXCHANGE, “TBC CAPITAL” ACCOUNTED IN 2019 FOR 76% ON THE EXCHANGE

    Audited report of TBC Bank indicates that during 2019, TBC Capital served placement on Georgian Stock Exchange of bonds totaling to 1.8 million lari. In this term, share of TBC Capital on Georgian Stock Exchange made 76%, the report specifies.
