“There will be no any kind of total lockdown, any restrictions on movement by car and by foot”, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared. “There is no necessity of this”, he said.

PREMIER: INCREMENT ON ELECTRICITY TARIFF WILL BE FULLY SUBSIDIZED FOR CITIZENS

In connection with growth of consumer electricity tariff, Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared that “the increment will be totally subsidized”. “Georgian citizens will not feel any increase during 2021”, he assured.




PREMIER: FOR COMPANIES, OPERATING IN PRIMARY FOOD PRODUCTION, 50% OF ELECTRICITY TARIFF’S INCREMENT WILL BE SUBSIDIZED

Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia declared that for companies, engaged in primary food production, 50% of difference between current and increased electricity tariffs will be subsidized.

“This is that minimum, which allows the government to be sure that increase of electricity tariff won’t affect end price of products, produced in Georgia”, the Premier said today.

ELECTRICITY TARIFFS INCREASED

Upon consideration of applications of TELASI (Tbilisi energy distributor) and EnergoPro Georgia (energy distribution in Georgia’s regions), Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission set today new electricity consumer tariffs. Tariffs, which will enter in force on January 1, 2021, will act through December 31, 2025.




WATER SUPPLY TARIFFS OF “GWP” AND “RUSTAVIS TSKALI” INCREASED

Upon consideration of applications of GWP (Georgian Water&Power, water supply and sewerage company of Tbilisi and Mtskheta) and Rustavis Tskali (Rustavi Water, water supply company of Rustavi), Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission set today new water consumer tariffs. Tariffs, which will enter in force on January 1, 2021, will act through December 31, 2023.

“BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO GEORGIA” FINISHED 2019 WITH LOSS AGAIN

LLC British American Tobacco Georgia reported loss of 7.1 million lari for 2019. According to audited report of this Georgian representation of British American Tobacco, the volume has decreased 2.1 times year-on-year.
