National Bank of Georgia reported that as of end of September, national currency supply amounted to 3.46 billion lari. If compared with the same period of 2017, the volume has increased by 9.7% (by 307.11 million lari).

IN 9 MONTHS, THE BUDGET GAINED 109.8M LARI FROM SALE OF THE STATE PROPERTY

In 9 months of the year, the budget received 109.8 million lari from sale of the state property, Georgian National Agency of State Property reported. The Agency specified that expected volume of investments to be made in the sold objects totals to 64 million lari.

FINANCE MINISTER: THE GOVERNMENT PLANS GRADUAL GROWTH OF EXPENSES FOR EDUCATION

Georgia’s Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani declared that aiming development of human capital, Georgian government plans gradual growth of expenses in the direction of education. The Minister voiced the hope that in course of implementation of reforms, planned in spheres of education and healthcare, Georgia will receive serious support from the World Bank (WB).

Since launch of “Produce in Georgia” (2014), 406 projects are supported as of September within this state program, Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry’s Agency Produce in Georgia reported. The Agency indicated that total expected investments in these projects exceed 991 million lari.

THE IMF EXPERT ASSISTS “SAKSTAT” IN INTRODUCTION OF SNA-2008

Sakstat reported that the IMF expert, former director of economic department of Statistics Denmark, assists Georgian statistics service in introduction of methodology of system of national accounts of 2008 (SNA 2008). For that end, the expert arrived to Georgia and within 2 weeks will work together with employees of National Accounts Department of Sakstat.

“WIZZAIR” LAUNCHED KUTAISI-VIENNA FLIGHTS

According to data of Georgian Stock Exchange, shares of 32 joint-stock companies were withdrawn from stock exchange trade (delisted) during July-September. Among these companies are Amalthea, Tbilchimfarm, Tbilgvino, Vere Lagoon, Pirimze, Elektroizolit, Tbilisi Bakery No.4, etc.
